run some I-formation with the QB under center and the lead fullback opening holes for their bruising RB. Not expecting UT to go this every series, but is it really that difficult to fit this into the game plan from time-to-time. I would love to see Hurd actually get to the line before being hit, instead of having to break 3 tackles in the backfield first.

It seems that most of the offensive coaching talent has avoided UT since Cutcliff left. Kiffin had a few surprises - but running Hardesty 3 straight times into the teeth of a UCLA defense (NFL DTs) a few years ago made me wonder.

With our line play the I wouldn't help. We should just run the wing-t it's what a lot of high school teams use.

I agree and have been saying this for a while now. Sometimes they have put a TE in the backfield with some success. I say add Bryant or Baits back there. They're probably never going to see the field on Defense. May need to learn some pass protection and how to run a wheel route from time to time.

Unfortunately, passing out of the I is pretty tough imo. Even with Etling taking over it seems like passing out of the I is noticeable tougher. Its great when you are over matching in the trenches, horrible when you are not.

My guess is if they have not practiced it, they would be running into each other from time to time.

If you have a decent line and a TE that can run, a play action pass out the I can be a beautiful thing.

Maybe DeBord's geriatric as* needs to be shown the door. This offense is pathetic.

It isn't Debord, Its CBJ! He is mentally committed to the read option, and no one or nothing is going to change his mind. Look at Auburn, this same unwillingness to change will probably bring an end to Malzon this year or next year. It will sooner or later be the end to CBJ.

When will people figure out that this is NOT Debords offense.. Not saying Debord doesn't share some blame but this is Butch's offense.. You fire Debord and you have to find someone else to run BUTCH'S offense...

I DO NOT see Butch hiring an offensive guru and giving him free reign to install and run a new offense..
