Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

There are a bunch of functions the Fenix 8 has that the 965 also has, may have and I don't know and or will get through updates in the future.

One the Fenix has that the 965 may have gotten through an update and I wasn't aware is being able to turn off self evaluation after saving an activity. I hated that.

I've started a list of these so I can check all at the same time on the 965 in the next day or 2 before I sell it.

I had turned off self evaluation, but it came back. I’m trying to ramp up my workouts and I’m actually ok with it being back, because I humble myself when I realize what used to be easy takes a lot of effort now. Between recruiting mentally kicking my butt and working through grief, I really let myself go the last year. Being honest with my self evaluations is a motivator for me to keep going. Might not work the same for others.

So it had it and I wasn't aware. Cool.

No, I hate it. I tried it at first and was to indecisive on what my definitions were going to be. If that makes sense. Lol.

I get it. I make an immediate decision when I’m saving it and go with it. Sometimes I feel like I’m prolly overreacting, but it’s just a mental mind game type thing for me

I have always rooted for the Mocs when the rare game pops up. I posted pictures the last time they were in Neyland of me in mocs gear, pay attention. "get away with it"? LOL It's where I graduated you retard. I went to both schools, and I have supported both programs in many ways. I have spent far far more money on season tickets and everything else for the Vols. I love that Tennessee looks awesome this year, and I'll be rooting for them all season, but Loyalty isn't something you choose when it's convenient, it's something people with integrity choose daily period. I actually spent time on both campuses, as a student and a graduate. Which is more then can be said for alot of fans. I grew up in the shadow of Neyland, and in the shadow of McKenzie Arena. These are my schools, and these are my teams. By all means "report me" for being a Mocboy....but I am also a Tennessee Volunteer. Now go sleep with the fishes...
Exactly, Mocboy. Moc fan first UT 2nd. No VFL ever.

This watch is supposed to be more battery efficient, it has a larger battery although I don't know how much bigger.

At 4:00 today it will be 90 hours on a full charge. I've used GPS all sets. For approximately 2 hours and 12 minutes. It's on 68%. It's not alot better, but it is better.

.36 vs .50 something I think.
.34 as of Wednesday at 6:00pm (53% at 140 hours)

Get a Casio or Seiko radio sync solar watch? Don't worry about battery again?

Even got my teenager son a Radio/solar watch Gshock...their getting pretty affordable.

Bill, do you ever follow your watches workout suggestions? I have never but I'm thinking about it today to see what happens.

It suggests 50 minutes at 11:54 pace. My training readiness is "Moderate" at 65.

I'm thinking if I do 50 minutes at 11:54 pace, the training readiness will be at 1 and recovery hours will be in the 60's and my training status will show "strained" or overreaching".

I mean I've done a little more at times and a little less and look at this...

I no joke just started a half marathon training program this morning through the watch/app. Just wanted to start at a base twenty minute run this morning. I’ve never done the recommended daily workout though. Tomorrow’s “easy run” isn’t easy for me currently so I’m curious if it’ll adjust after I fail lol

I've thought about doing one of those training programs too, but I've been trying to get all my numbers stable first. That's kinda why I asked you.

I hope I'm wrong and by following it's suggestion I get good results.

But my training load says one thing, the suggestion says one thing and training status says one thing and none of it seems consistent.

Lol. Should I scale back or run 50 minutes at 12:00 pace?
I have no idea what you’re capable of so I dunno. That’s what I’ll end up doing tomorrow prolly, but it’s wanting me to go 50 minutes at a ten pace. And then the option to keep going at that pace for twenty more minutes.

Lulz, I wasn't asking you, just showing the discrepancy. Damned if I do damned if I don't.

It's crazy how far those numbers have dropped from last year.

What does your Load Focus show for just 9/2 to present? (or will it let you select that short a period.)

What were you doing from 9/2-9/5?

- I don't have any of this on my watch or app, or at least, I hope I don't. So I'm fascinated by y'all's gadgetry.

Not on the graph like above. I have to go to each individual activities to see that. But from September 2-5 I did nothing. Lol.

Aaaahhh...

I wish I had THAT kind of feedback! My watch and app have been pretty caustic during my week of Covid. Why no, you're correct, I haven't had any workouts, unless you want to count wobbling my way around the house.

I probably ought to go ahead and try the training advice stuff on my phone, if I can find one that doesn't sound like an over-excited high school cheerleader, which is in no shape or form motivating to my contrary self.

Right after I got my first Garmin watch I remember telling Bill that the Samsung was a better smart watch and the Garmin was a better sports watch. But the Garmin was a way better sports watch than the Samsung was a smart watch.

I still stand by that. I really hoped the new Samsung was going to be both but it failed. Garmin does such a good job at the sports and health part that it's easier for me to do without the smartwatch part that I so desire.
