There's no problem with it under normal circumstances. The avoiding-a-scratch vs non-functional-touchscreen-as-a-result.
If I were doing as much running etc as you do, I might think it was worth losing the touchscreen function. But most of the time, I'm using touchscreen to find out what wacko alert I've just received.
I'm going to have to break down and buy a screen protector. I never had any issues with the 2whatevever number it was years and years ago... probably like 215. Then I had the 935 for like 4 years, zero issues. 955 for like a year and nothing. But, I didn't want to tell you about it, but I cracked the whole face. Right in the middle and it cracked outward in like six different cracks. Fortunately, Garmin replaced it for free since it's so new, but they aren't obligated to. Don't want that to happen again.Nothing. It's only an issue when my hands are hot and sticky and I'm running trying to use the touch screen. Now that I know that's the problem, I'll just use the buttons when I'm running. Problem solved.
I love the screen protector.
Oh man that's cool they replaced it. But these protectors probably wouldn't have prevented that. The ones for the 955 may have, but these are just gonna keep you from getting minor scratches. It's just a film. But better than nothing as far as I'm concerned. A little bitty scratch in the right place would drive me nucking futs. I've got one one the protector now, but just knowing my screen is fine it doesn't bother me. Lol.I'm going to have to break down and buy a screen protector. Kind of bothers me it cracked. I don’t even know how I did it. I was just doing yard work. I’ve definitely been unbelievably rougher hiking, running, in the gym, etc, than anything I was doing at that timeOh man that's cool they replaced it. I'm always reading comparisons between watches and that's one negative with the 965 compared to the Galaxy watch 5 and the new 6 classic, and even with the high-end Epix. They all have sapphire where the 965 is still using gorilla glass.Kind of bothers me it cracked. I don’t even know how I did it. I was just doing yard work. I envy you. I get flooded with announcements for the dang things.Lawd help me. I've discovered badge challenges on the Garmin app. I've been on level 2 for a long time and only need 2 points to get to level 3. Wtf? How do I get points to get to the next level? Is 3 the highest level? If not how many are there?
I just found out how to accept challenges to get more points. I have 5 for July I'm working on for a total of 9 points. Lol.
I'm not comprehending this post.I envy you. I get flooded with announcements for the dang things.
I’m assuming your notifications are turned on, or whatever term your electronics use for endless chirping and nagging.
Envious that you don’t get badge notifications, at least not anymore. They’re motivating for some, but not for me.I'm not comprehending this post.
Why you envy me?
"You received sew and sew badge" notifications were plentiful at first, but then they all but stopped. I got curious how to get them and started looking around. Found where I could pick certain ones as challenges. The other ones I just got from happenstance.
Oh, yeah except for text and calls errthang is turned off. I only get notifications for earned badges on the app when I go open it to check out my stats from my activity.Envious that you don’t get badge notifications. They’re motivating for some, but not for me.
lol. My old Fitbit went nuts the time I loaned it to my husband for his 5-mile walk. “Look! You can do this again! Look at how many new badges you could get!”
Why? Something you ate yesterday?I'm not really sure how accurate all this stuff my watch does really is, like Body Battery, Training Readiness, Recovery, HRV, Stress and Sleep levels and score. But I do know it is accurate.
Supposedly they all effect each other. I keep an excel spreadsheet that I update several times a day with all that info and more on it.
Something I noticed is when I intake alot of sugar, especially later in the day, all those numbers get out of wack.
I feel like I have a hangover this morning and all my numbers are terrible. And I know exactly why.
It's scary to think how bad I abused my body during my drinking/smoking/restaurant career. The body truly is amazing.
