Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

@Behr , you gonna go solely with the new Samsung?
For now. If its all they say it is it will be my perfect watch. I had to buy a new phone to experiment, so I'm invested.

If it's not what Im expecting I'm gonna jump on the Epix Pro and be done with it.

The new Ultra is supposed to have as good of GPS as the Garmin and they have the same as Body battery and Training readiness but calling it something different. The health stuff is using AI now and supposed to be really accurate. It also has ECG and supposedly getting glucose measuring. Blah blah blah.

It's a $700 watch that I got for $219 with trade in, preorder discount and student discount. I had to see man. Lol.

How on earth could it figure out blood glucose without, you know, blood, but ok. Fancy Watches do some amazing things with those little sensors underneath the watch face.

I read an article that said it's obviously gonna be an estimate but they think the algorithm with be fairly accurate. I'm not much interested in it now as much as I'm just interested that they're making progress.

With this watch they stole from Apple and Garmin, and I'm fine with that...if it all works like they claim it does. If it doesn't, I already have a solid backup plan.

When I saw my doc last spring for the new afib alerts, he was pretty eye-rolly for ten minutes or so, but when he started pulling out the data and comparing it with the in-office tests, he was really impressed.

When I went in six months later, he was a confirmed Fancy Watch guy, recommending them all around!

Tl;Dr again. Lol.

Thanks. I've been wearing my Galaxy 6 and the 965 for about a month.

GPS is identical unless I go between buildings or under trees, then the 6 is off a little. With the new multi GPS on the ultra that should be fixed. That was the deal breaker on the Samsung in the beginning.

The sleep info is practically identical except for the deep and REM times and they're dang near just swapped. It's really strange, but they're still close. With this new AI accuracy should lean towards the Ultra. Should.

Of course all the smartwatch type stuff, reminders, alarms and especially the vibration was all stuff I missed but sacrificed for the GPS, TR, BB and sleep accuracy.

When I go out in the Gulf Ocean with dad the Samsung maps are way superior. And the display is supposed to be unreal.

My Samsung is the reason my doc did the EKG that found my issue. It didn't tell me that's what it was, it just gave a different message than it normally did. And honestly it might not even had anything to do with it, but....it is what it is.

Speaking (very randomly) of sleep reports, here was my super-duper awful night. (Got to bed early, Hubs came to bed just as I was in the midst of an impressively awful nightmare, woke me up as the world was (literally) ending, and began coughing with the crud we’re battling. My eyes popped open, and there they stayed.

I read a book, never really got sleepy, climbed back in bed around 5:30, aka sunup, fell back asleep around 7:00. (And I had planned to get up at 6:45, oh well.)

I do not handle sleep deprivation well. If you’d like to torture me and make me confess to anything, here you go.

Because of my other issues my sleep is so messed up right now and it's mostly because of stress.

My stress over night used to be between 12 and 14.

My 7 day average as of last night is 43.

I'm so exhausted I don't know what to do. The new watch, even if it doesn't work out, is gonna be nice to concentrate on something new.

It has become very obvious how much lack of sleep affects my mental health. And then I see how stress and anxiety (mental health) affect my sleep. Vicious circle.

Exactly. This sleep thing is more important now than it's ever been and I'm not doing it well.

That said, hopefully I'm going to get better soon and this will all change.

I’m very much struggling with the “let go and let God” thing, but at my age, it’s pretty clear that this should be my goal.

Yeah. I know you know but imma say it anyway. It ain't just a "thing" and it ain't easy, but it's easier than it seems.

The old simple-vs-easy thing. Simple = not complicated. Not easy = but I don’t wanna!

Such a great distraction for overthinkers like me.

Very grateful that I (apparently) don’t have this function on my phone. I’d spend all day stressing about being stressed, which I frequently do anyway, but I sure don’t need numbers telling me about it.
When nothing is wrong it's a great tool. But right now it can be counterproductive.

Name your price boss.
Swappa doesn't have any but Amazon has renewed ones for $419 but they have some bad reviews. I was gonna list it on Swappa for $400 but would have taken $375.

I'll ask $375 from you but will take $350. I'm done haggling.

Sounds good. How do we make the exchange?
