Watch Dogs [2013]

I played for about 3 hours. I haven't played anything mission oriented since leaving the first hideout.

I like it so far. Not the GOTY or anything but definitely worth the buy IMO.

Graphically, it's pretty nice. Gameplay is relatively easy to get the hang of. Haven't drove any yet.

Is it true that you cannot punch or kick in the game or use melee weapons of any kind? I found that to be really odd that without either a gun or hacking you cannot fight back any other way.

Warning to all who have this game.

Apparently there is a glitch that causes the game to break. The loading screen freezes and you have to delete the save file and start all over. People are having issues after downloading the free UPlay stuff. Such as the car and the gun. I wasn't able to sign up for an account yesterday so I never got the free items. I'm sure a patch will be released soon but just hold off on downloading any of the UPlay items.

Thanks!

The game certainly gets progressively harder. That part where you have to enter the building from the underground garage is no joke.

This game is so f'ing broken. Somehow lost all my weapons and can't even do online at the moment. Says I need to complete the tutorial which I did already. Getting real tired of this.

Yep....just got screwed over by yet another glitch in this buggy ass game. I was playing Online Tailing and got killed. I respawned and all my weapons were gone and I can't use like any skills. It's all still upgraded but I can't open any gates or raise bridges or anything like that. And I can't even do online missions. So now it's either start all the way over or wait until Ubisoft gets their siht together. So tired of this crap. Spend $60 just for the damn game to be broken. They had an extra 6 months to fix this stuff. Guess that wasn't enough time.

I've just been doing single-player campaign at the moment. Hearing too many horror stories about online play. I'll wait for the patch to come out before I play online. Single player campaign is still fantastic though.

That sucks Sith, the only online mission I did is the one where they force you to during the campaign.

i haven't tried the online yet either, but i will say it's very easy to get going in free roam and not even fool with the main missions. i looked up last night and an hour and a half was gone and i hadn't even done a mission.

I am enjoying it. Sure, it's not wholly original but I think the story/acting is actually halfway decent and with the exception of a few minor gampelay gripes (no melee, and X button for cover on PS4 at least, ugh) I'm having a good time. The elements are just enough to keep things fresh.

I've done a few single-player missions and spent a good bit of time in free roam, but have had a couple of online experiences. I have been invaded twice - was able to stop the hacking both times, but the other player got away once. The second time may have been a glitch on the other player's end (pulled them out of a car, but they were gone before I could attempt to melee). I have also successfully tailed someone without any glitches.

I rarely do any online gaming, but if my experiences continue to be that positive (read: no glitches), I think I will really enjoy that aspect of this game. While it has its faults, overall, I think it's a really good game. I look forward to other, similar games on the next gen platforms as the gaming mechanisms and graphics improve, and the glitches are weeded out.

It is definitely not easy. I started it on normal difficulty and have since turned it down to easy to get through a mission. I still haven't been able to handle the convoys very well. I think I will probably toggle between easy/normal throughout.

It took me a few tries to get through the underground garage.

I really like the online for this game. It really is a rush. Especially tailing someone. Just sitting there trying not to get caught and hoping to get the meter up to 100%. Just hope Ubisoft gets this stuff fixed. GTA 5 had these same type of problems.

Anyone buy the season pass?

Yeah I bought it when I picked it up at midnight. I wanted all the levels they were offering at different stores and the mobster outfit and gun. Had to have that being in Chicago.
Haven't down the TBone missions yet, and I'm hoping they'll release at least two more missions or bigger DLC add ons

I jinxed myself - I was unable to connect at all yesterday. Go figure

I agree. Fun enough game and there's a lot to do. I'd recommend it if you want a GTA/Saints Row type game.

Picked up last night and played it for a few hours. Did a bit of the campaign missions then did some online play. Really like the game and the online is intense. I love the tailing and hacking online.
