Waste of time to be upset

Waste of time indeed. But I could say the same about spending about 130 Saturday’s over the past decade watching my beloved VOLS sputter along in practical irrelevance.
This. Has. To. End.
Beat one of the big boys. THIS SEASON

It’s up to Pruitt to create his own legacy. Not us. I gotta say his loyalty to one qb isn’t helping obviously but I do believe he’s got the program headed in the right direction. It’s his qb evaluation that has me puzzled. As for JG, he earned that reputation fairly. It’s well documented that he has open receivers fairly often and takes sacks instead.

What exactly about a head coach continuing to trot out an inferior qb if a better option is available inspires your belief that he has the program headed in the right direction?

Seems to me both of those statements could not be true, they work contrary to each other.

I think we didn’t recruit a game-ready transfer QB. That is Pruitt’s big error this season. We put everything on a true freshman in Harrison Bailey with no backup plan.

He's right tho. Any reasonable person didn't expect a win, but the bull$h!t that was presented was. This team was undisciplined and the play-calling was abysmal when it mattered.
Idk.... it’s hard for me to blame the play calling when every team in the SEC has JGs number. The staff has known that for years. Pruitt himself knows how he would defend against JG and yet he’s unprepared to play any other way than he has for 4 years now. That tells me that Cheney is limited with JG but Pruitt insists on starting him. Let Cheney pick his own qb for HIS offense before blaming him for a lack of execution. That’s all I’m saying.

Uh, what you said falls on the play calling and coaching no?

Anyone who puts this game on JG is just wrong and looking for a scapegoat because they don’t understand football.

The Oline - full of 5 stars - caved. Simple. The Oline is responsible for giving him time to let the receivers get open. Truth is receivers were well covered and he had max 2 seconds in the pocket.

Defensive players are trained to go for strip sacks and that’s exactly what Georgia’s players did tonight. Can’t blame JG. Maybe in years past. Not tonight.

JG deserves what he gets, but if the OL doesn't precede that conversation it may not be fair. Together....you get what we got tonight.

I guess you have a point. Let me explain. Every other position on this team has depth and quality. We couldn’t say that 3 years ago. Qb is no different. However people don’t know that because in HIS OPINION JG is our best chance to win. That doesn’t mean they all agree. We seen it last year that a change at qb made a drastic improvement in overall team success but it’s overshadowed by JGs “off the bench” heroics. I’m convinced that Pruitt believes that JG can play that way all game long, every game but it hasn’t happened in 4 years. So his qb evaluation is the ONLY thing I personally question.

You only need two seconds.
He didn't audible. He didn't use his check down. He didn't escape the pocket and MOVE IT .MOVE THE POCKET.

For you to even mention pressure and seconds means you don't understand the importance of controlling the defense with your eyes...

Apparently I don’t understand anything about football.

By the way, what number are you? I will be sure to look for you on the field next Saturday.

Well when the QB is getting hit 2 seconds after the snap, there is blame to go around.

As for benching JG, IDK... how much of a drop off is there to the #2 QB?

If you’re Pruitt and you see how the OL is getting blown apart and you also see how badly our wide receivers are getting beat up by their DBs, do you really think it’s a good idea to throw in a largely untested QB against the best defense in the nation? This could be the best defense JG has ever gone against.

JG did not play well, but I don’t see shrout or Bailey stepping in and turning us around. We lost this game because all around our offense was dog s***. Their players were just better than ours across the board, it was glaringly obvious.

Tell that to the rbs running for little to no gain bc the OL was dominated. All we’ve heard all offseason and the first two games is about the OL. Do you just give them a complete pass? We all knew that JG couldn’t win this game on his shoulders. Somehow he lifted the team up in the first half but we were hoping the OL would show up. They never did.
QBs who can control the defense with their eyes and accuracy have success against any defense.

If you know the QB wilts under pressure the defense comes with everything until you make them pay (see the first half)
Now this isnt exclusive to the pass game only. This goes hand in hand with loading the box in the run game.

Watch LSU in 2019 vs UGA for your answer. We showed we could play with them 1st half.

We take the 4 turnovers away...this is a completely different game.
That was JG. Eat the football and punt.

How you could argue anything else is unreasonable.
Be angry if you want . I don't care.
This thread wasnt for you evidently.

We are undisciplined and inconsistent. We have an entire offensive line of 5* talent, and yet we can't field a competent offensive line. We have multiple QBs on the roster, and yet no true starter, or even a servicable backup.

That is not a well-coached team.

We have a true starter for this UT but it doesn't mean he's a good starter. Played 1/2 good football then reverted to bottom of the league status.

Terrible QB play was a momentum ender.

All the penalties looked like an undisciplined team.

. It’s not on the o line though. I know it looks like it and Wanya got abused but overall it’s because they played downhill and/or loaded the box because they were challenging JG to beat them.
acknowledge the issue, then for the sake of ur hopeful go against the very issue u acknowledged? what a joke

One person doesn’t make an entire o line. Once again...... not golf.
u right. so nevermind chemistry due to playing the first 2 without cade, right? oops, forgot about that part huh? so his whole entire backside was either starting its first game this yr or coming off quarantine merely 2 to 3 weeks ago.

In a normal season Pruitt’s ceiling is about 8 or 9 wins. He’s not going to beat the big boys. Get used to it.

I don't think Pruitt ever had any plans to play Bailey in 2020. He's too risk averse, and turnover-phobic, and seems to believe that he can get wins by forcing low-scoring games with defensive play.

He was always going to play the QB who turned it over the least in practice, not the one who gave us the best chance of scoring the most points.
