I disagree, I dont see him leaving Bama. He is legitimately the king of CFB right now. I dont see why hed walk away from that to take a risk in the NFL and lose that power he has now
Here's my reasoning.
In his biography, you have to understand how he was raised. His father was incredibly hard on him. His father owned a service station. Nick washed cars. If he missed a spot, no matter how tiny on a car, his father would make him redo the entire car.
Many people who know Nick believe that the NFL is viewed as a "spot on the car."
It was a task he left unfinished, and a goal he never really accomplished.
I am not saying he would leave for the NFL.
But if he looks at the NFL and success there as something that he left undone, I would 100% expect him to go back there.
When Saban went to the NFL the first time, his biggest issue was that he couldn't command respect from these highly paid multi-million dollar players. He hated that he didn't have the control he wanted.
BUT....see his good friend Bill Belichick. Belichick does just about whatever he wants, and has the full control there in NE just about.
I could see Saban going back to the NFL IF he had the ability to choose who was drafted, who was picked up, dropped, etc. If he was boss.
But that's why I think that. Just the idea of a task left unfinished.
I could see Nick winning 2 more championships and then moving to the NFL. That would put him at 7, which would be most of all time. But he may settle on tying Bear at 6. Not sure.
Just my opinions on all of it. He is the king of CFB, but I'm not sure that means as much to him as going back and fixing a "Failure" that he had in the NFL.
