It looks as if Flip and the Wizards have agreed to a deal. I think this will work out for both parties.

Probably. Given Orlando's success this season, it's pretty apparent that getting to the top 4 four of the east is not very difficult as of late.

Yeah, hire a coach that your most vocal and recognizable player utterly detests. Brilliant move. He couldn't keep control in Detroit. Good luck with Agent Zero, Stevenson, and the rest of that mental ward.

It's obvious that Flip was in over his head in Detroit, but I think Gilbert will do fine under him. If Gilbert wants to cement his name as one of the best in the game right now he'll want to advance through the playoffs with at least a series win. Expectations will be reasonably low, but in the East I'd say they'll find a spot at the bottom of the East and have something to build on for 2010-2011.

Boston isn't getting any younger and Lebron's contract is up after next season. The East could be going through a big transition over the next couple of seasons.
