Was Warren the thorn?

Have to agree with Huey failing a little more substance to some of the arguements here.

What it did do was allow more reps for the other receivers which would help a little. I agree that a healthy Moore and Jones helped the consistency of the receivers. It has more to do with the coaching and adjustments made by the coaches and Crompton than anything that had to do with Warren in my opinon. It may have gotten a few peoples attention, but the whole arguement isn't even logical. They simplified Cromton's reads, he got more comfortable, he got deeper in the pocket or rolled out, was limited to focusing on half the field, etc.

None of this has anything to do with Warren being on the team or off the team. News flash, Crompdady's terrible first half and greatly improved second half against Auburn had nothing to do with Warren. I couldn't even tell you if Warren was still on the team then but I can tell you the offenses performance that game had nothing to do with him. Just my opinion. FEAR THE ORANGE.

I think Warren was a disruptive influence the first half again Auburn but then decided to not be a disruptive thorn the second half against Auburn. His secret mojo forced Jonathan to make bad decisions and passes in the first half and then he removed the spell for the second half and was not a thorn for the second half, but as we know, the damage had already been done. Few of you knew that, but I have inside insight to Warren's trickery and treachery. Remove Warren's secret spells and fix the offense. Just saying.

FEAR THE ORANGE.

Just my opinion, move along nothing to see here.

Was kelley washington that bad can someone tell me what he said to upset everyone?

I do not recall anything like BW's QB picking, but "The Future" had a me-first attitude that the younger kids picked up on.

No. Kelly Washington being a "problem" was something that was completely concocted my message board speculation. After Fulmer elected not to release that he was out for the season and it became a weekly saga that fans saw as KW being selfish, etc. It dated to an ESPN Magazine piece where the writer got him to refer to himself as "The Future."

I know several members of the 2002 team that said KW was a great teammate at Tennessee.

he wasn't that bad. He made a statement in an interview and everyone used that to turn on him. We need some wr's like him now

Although we can't know for sure what level of cancer Warren inflicted on the team, since dumping him they've looked a lot better.

The improved play of the receivers has more to do with Jones and Moore finally being healthy and not Warren's dismissal.

I think the remaining receivers thought they could be shown the door too and it did help for everybody to get healthy ,so my theory is a combination of the two

Eureka! Newbies don't know about morale. (Some never had a job).

Letting Warren go was the best move that CLK did for the team. Like the old cliche says, "there isn't any I in the word TEAM". If you ever played a team sport like football, then you would know what just one bad attitude can do to the morale of the team.

There is something to it. It has been noted many times that Warren was an underacheiver and had a bad attitude and a pityful work ethic. Bad attitudes are like a bad cold. they spread quickly. Also i think Kiffin made a point when he booted him from the team.

Exactly.

He was incredibly talented.

In my eyes he earned the ability to have some swagger and confidence... BW didn't have an eighth of KW's talent.

BW was a crybaby... And good riddance to him.

Yes. One player who played about 5 plays a game being gone is not the reason we are doing good offensively. What is with all the stupid wild theories on here. We are playing good because we have a QB who's finally playing with confidence and we played one of the worst teams in the country yesterday which is going to help. We will continue to be good offensively but to think one guy who could barely get on the field all year was somehow holding our whole offense back is just stupid.

Some call it chemistry. It only takes one person to tear down.
