Dude was drafted 2nd overall, regarded as a "can't-miss" prospect, and someone that was supposed to be the next Gale Sayers. Does he have a better NFL career than most? Yes, but his production has been that of a 4th round pick. Punt returners and 3rd down backs shouldn't be drafted 2nd overall.

For his draft position and the money invested, yes, he is a bust.

End thread.

DeMario Williams decision was laughed about at the time...

In retrospect, choosing between Vince, DeMario or Bush, who looks good now?

Williams has never played in a playoff game. VY led his team to the playoffs. In the end he's gone, but he's still had more overall success with the Titans than Williams has had with the Texans*.

*I do not include Bush because I do not see him as a player that led his team to the playoffs. He contributed, but wouldn't be a major contributor like Williams and VY.

I remember the Texans getting blasted by media and fans alike when it was revealed a day or two before the draft that they were taking Demario Williams number 1 overall instead of Bush.

The Titans also went 13-3 with Young on the bench the season after VY led the team to the playoffs. I think that really diminishes your argument.

So you would take VY over Mario Williams?

No. All I was saying is VY had more team success and that's very important at the QB position.

I realize he was on a very good team wehn he led them to the playoffs, but he didn't **** it up. It's very easy to **** something like that at the QB position. VY gets credit for that. I'm mostly a VY hater, to tell the truth. When people were talking him up back then I was always saying he was overrated and on a great team.

You mean when he was in college? I doubted him as much as anyone going into the pros, but there was no denying that he had one of the best seasons of any college player in decades, and he was what made that Longhorns team go.

What VY did in the Rose Bowl was amazing.

His skillset doesn't translate to the pro game whatsoever though.

Actually I was just talking about all the hype he got rookie and sophomore years for winning so much. He was good, but overrated. They won because the team was great. I remember the media talking about him being a "winner" after beating the Jags 24-21, but the Titans had scored 3 non-offensive TD's. HAHAHA
