Didn't go to that. But the 2016 Oklahoma game was the best I ever experienced. That place never stopped through all four quarters. Of course the game dictated it as we jumped out to a nice lead and then Butch Jones did yet another failed attempt to hold a 14-point lead for 3 quarters. Geez. But man all the way from the kickoff through the end of the overtime that place was rocking that night.I was there... and it was no where near close to the volume at the 2022 Alabama game.
You could tell Pat Macafee loves to come to Knoxville. GameDay was high energyGawd. Knew sooner or later the fingers would be pointed at the crowd. Gimme a break. No better experience anywhere in the country Saturday than at Neyland with that crowd. We lost the game...period. We make the plays we should have made and the coaches don't turtle up and we win the game. It wasn't noise or any lack thereof. It was the plays and decisions on the field that lost the game period. Quit with the search for other excuses.
Agreed it shouldn’t matter if they played in front of no crowd. Coaches need to coach and players need to make plays and at the end of the day Georgia made more plays than we did period.Gawd. They payed a lot of money to be there and should be able to enjoy the experience the way they want to not the way you want them too.All I know is it would be much louder if more people would yell, stomp their feet, clap their hands etc. I beg people around me every year to yell, but they just stand and look at you. This is a fact! My son has video of it.
I have heard from several friends that was the loudest from start to finish. I make a game or two every year, it's loud at times, but it could be so much betterDidn't go to that. Oh it’s their right we all understand that. But they are rotten bastards if they are able bodied and not trying to help the team. I get it if they are old or disabled. They payed a lot of money to be there and should be able to enjoy the experience the way they want to not the way you want them too.
It was but the low scoring nature of the game helped. Georgia hit so many big plays on us it definitely stunned the crowd some. It was a loud crowd though, the fumble recovery it got so loud it felt like I temporarily went deaf. Neyland did its part Georgia just withstood it. They deserve creditI have heard from several friends that was the loudest from start to finish. I make a game or two every year, it's loud at times, but it could be so much better

Now that I think about it, you're right. I can't even remember them getting inside :05 on the playclock. Amazing job of managing a road game.I know I did my part. I yelled my head off every defensive play with the exception of 2 when I had to hit the bathroom. It did seem like Georgia did a good job getting to the line quickly to keep the noise at a minimum on most snaps. They didn't run the snap clock down very far at all really. No false starts and no Delay of game penalties I think was honestly impressive.
Also, as far as no false starts, that's mostly because UGA is exceedingly well-coached and prepared. They also had no false starts in the 2023 game.
Heupel's teams have always had issues with this back to UCF. I think it is what it is at this point. Playing at the fast tempo probably has a lot to do with it, especially with the illegal formations we tend to get hit with as well.Yet our own team playing at home had several killer false start penalties. This is perhaps the one issue I have with our coaching staff. To get back to being the elite program we hope to be, every little detail matters. That's what Saban did and what Kirby learned from Saban.
Due to the terrace and due to the newer fancy seats in R-W, it's going to be like that. Premium seating typically yields less noiseCould've been much louder. Many in section V were silent. I get voices go out, but clapping your hands as loudly and as fast as you can is deafening if everyone did it.
I detest what they’ve done. Especially taking seats out of the north endzone upper deck. Still Neyland has been plenty loud. 22 Bama was apocalyptic and this past game got like that at times.Due to the terrace and due to the newer fancy seats in R-W, it's going to be like that. We had a false start after a timeout before missed FG. That is absolutely terrible!!!Heupel's teams have always had issues with this back to UCF. I think it is what it is at this point.
