Yeah, it hurt losing to Kentucky and Ole Miss, but tonight you saw a team come together right b4 our eyes. Bottom line... we put up 81 on Georgia without Chris Lofton.

Yes, losing 4-5 games builds character.

The 2005 football team had lots of character.

Yes, losing 4-5 games builds character.

The 2005 football team had lots of character.

that is totally comparing apples to oranges.
1. 11 game football season, 31 game b-ball season, plus SEC tourney games. 4-6 losses don't carry nearly the same weight in basketball. 2-3 early losses can ruin a top school's entire season in football.
2. the '05 football teams problems weren't fixable in only a week or two. the b-ball team has time throughout the length of the season to focus on key areas that need improvement; not to mention the fact that freshmen can grow up a lot over a course of a season.
3. the football team's problems werent from losing the best player on the team. losing far and away your best player in basketball hurts much more than one injury in football; especially when that team is incredibly young and had developed a dependancy on their injured star.
