Was Lofton being injured a good thing for this team in the long run?

Yeah, it hurt losing to Kentucky and Ole Miss, but tonight you saw a team come together right b4 our eyes. Bottom line... we put up 81 on Georgia without Chris Lofton.

yea thats a good sign, i dont know if it will help in the long run or not but only time will tell, i believe it did though because we now know that Chris Lofton doesn't have to hit 10 3 pointers for us to win

yea we definitely could have won the Ole Miss game and had a better chance in the Kentucky game if Lofton were playing

Slick Rick says, lawgator1's girl has some huge boobs. Slick Rick says this will help us in the long run. Slick Rick says we finally won a game without "The Maysville Stud" This is a very good sign.

How about we see how quickly he recovers and becomes his old self before we go proclaiming this to be a beneficial situation. If he's rusty when we need him at home over the next month, there's no way this could be considered a gain.

Ok assuming he recovers fully, let's forget about the 2 games we lost at Ole Miss and Kentucky. Don't you think the freshmen are better for it??

No. If it were true then the coaches would have other starters intentionally sprain their ankles "for the good of the team".

Lemme put it this way. Do you honestly think that the freshmen on this team that had increased responsibility and play will play better than if Loften had not gotten injured? therefore won't the team play better overall once Lofton returns?

I think it's good that this team finally found a way to win without him. I'm excited about Ramar having such a good game. He's going to be something special the next few years.

Yup Ramar will be great. And it appears he has a great amount of respect for the coaching staff if you listen to the interview after the Georgia game. If he develops into an NBA player I can see him sticking around for 4 whole years because of that.

Does Crews have any potential? Because it seems to me like he's been static and Chism has gotten better.

I think it definitely was a good thing for the long term. Lofton getting hurt in itself, of course was terrible. But how the team gelled together and stepped up can only be seen as a great positive. After some of the close losses, and the 2nd half collapses, the players could have very easily folded; but they stuck with it, kept fighting, and with this win tonight proved to themselves that they have the talent and ability to succeed without Lofton. Yes, it was just a win over Georgia, but a win over a divisional foe without your superstar player and Wooden Award candidate greatly increases your confidence. The freshmen are coming out of this stretch battle-tested and more grown up, which are huge positives. I don't think lofton will be that rusty, either. If he has any rust, I think he can shake it off within the first few minutes back on the floor.

I would rather play without Loften now than try to figure out how to play without him in "The Dance".
