Come on man, everybody know Johnny Cash was all about Vandy, he showed up to the games in a black sweater hanging over his shoulders.

Went to school (Goodpasture Christian School) with his granddaughter and can say that she and her mom were huge fans. Not sure if that means the apple fell far or means he was a fan too but his kids were.

Jeff Jarrett, the wrestler, is also a huge fan. Grew up in Hendersonville TN.

Along with Jamie Dudney who is Barbara Mandrell's daughter. The whole family cheers for the Vols. Barbara would show up at the school sometimes wearing UT gear.

No she wore UT to school all the time. She may have been a vandy fan too but she was a huge UT fan also.

If you went to school with her then chances are I know you. If not then you don't know what your talking about. You go to goodpasture? What grade?

I didn't go to school there but a few friends at UT did. And Jaime wasn't much of a UT fan either

There was like 5 songs where John said Tennessee!!

Also, every name brand act that rolls through Knoxville is a Vol fan, which i find funny

Because every time i see a country act at Foxwoods their entire band is from Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Western Mass.

You seem nice so I'm going to overlook the comment about you heard it from a friend who was a friend part. I went there and can remember the Spring carnival were she wore a tight orange UT t-shirt. These kinda things stick in a young boys head if you know what I mean. I don't ever remember seeing her wear a Vandy shirt. vMaybe she became a Vandy fan later but up until Junior high, which is when I moved away, she was wearing UT gear.

I was there. First hand experience. No friend of a friend stuff.

On a side note, I don't know anything about her brother. He was about to graduate when I was still in fifth grade. the only thing I remember about him is they locked the school down because some crazy stalker was always showing up looking for him. That was weird.

I went to Goodpasture for 8 years & was best friends with John Carter in elementary school. Johnny wasn't a big sports fan but a super nice man...Matt Dudney was in our class too. I don't recall Barbara ever wearing UT stuff but I could be wrong because it's not something I would even notice...

My son's in Goodpasture now...3rd grade. Kinda cool to see him go where I went but if they keep hiking up tuition I'm gonna need a second job lol.
