Warren dismissed (merged)

He should go back to fsu---they have a bunch of thugs on the team and he'll fit right in. Fulmer left kiffin all this rif raf that will take a while to clean out.

So one of the 5% club is gone who is next? g jones? The program is bigger than the kid in the jersey. This sets a tone.. again i am very glad to have Kiffin as the HC . We may be down today but we will get back. Y:)ou have to cut the dead weight somethimes to show others either work with us or go home... good luck BW. NEXT?

Something tells me Warren didn't handle the news that he was being sat for the rest of the year very well.

He was a talented guy who never seemed to fit in. I'm all for it. We don't need stuff like this complicating the problems we already have. I hope the rest of the team gets the memo. Gotta love the discipline!

Warren had better have done something colossally stupid...

I cannot blame any frustrated WR on his team. It's amazing how fast fans will turn on you.

Jones has played through a broken wrist; Hancock is playing through a broken jaw; "fans" are still up their butt in defense of Crompton.

Warren may or may not deserve this, but anyone celebrating this as an improvement in our team is delusional.

A couple points:
(1) you have posted about nine times so far in this thread (I'm at page 7, I believe) and in each instance you have failed to write anything that loosely resembles a rational thought.

(2) What you are essentially saying is that Warren brings more to the table in the way of football skills than he takes off the table in terms of his well-documented laziness, and obvious disrespect for the coaching staff. No. To arrive at such a conclusion you would have to be either (a) really really bad at evaluating talent, or (b) blinded by homosexual love for Warren.

(3) Fans defending Crompton? We must be on different websites. Because all I see when I log on to this site is four or five new "Bench Crompton" threads. I think the guy is a bad QB, but I can only take so many redundant posts. This is actually why I rarely even come on here anymore. And yet you think that everybody is behind Crompton, and that it's Warren vs. the world? Clearly you are either (a) really really bad at reading, or (b) blinded by homosexual love for Warren.

I think he needs to go back to Alcoa and deal drugs.
Apparently that's what he's cut out for, he's not smart enough to do anything else.

Just another part of the "thug" mentality removed from the team. It's not what "I" can do for the team but what can the team do for "me" mentality. It will take a season or two to completely remove the thugs who are hurting this team. Fulmer allowed these kind of players to flourish at Tennessee because he had a hard time recruiting good players with the right attitude. Another reason why we have Fulmer to thank for our current situation. Clean house Lane and get rid of these thugs. We give Lane a couple of years to clean it up and bring in his own players and we will once again be a proud team to reckon with. Go Vols!!!!

Not going to read this entire thread but it has probably been said, I am shocked that he was back in the game during the 4th quarter.

Brandon Warren was a thug that thought he was invaluable to the team.

Brandon Warren was a great football player, what he wasn't was a team player and he cost himself millions of dollars by not being able to play in the NFL.

He's just another example of all the trash that the NFL or Division I teams won't tolerate anymore.

I agree with the dismissal. There is absolutely no reason to disrespect your coach, and especially if there was physical contact as it was mentioned as a possibility that there was. You may not agree with the coaches, but you can approach it in an adult/professional manner and discuss with them in private, but you absolutely do not show your a$$ like a child and do what he did.

We will never know the full story of what happened. Everyone on here saying he's a thug, should go deal drugs, etc... have you talked with Kiffin?

I fully support our staff's decision. He seemed like a loss. You never confront your coach like that. Terrible show of disrespect. I am all for getting rid of the 5% Kiffin talked about.

But again, we likely will never know the full story. At least not in this season.

I do find it funny that Oregon suspends their RB for punching a guy in the face (and is now talking about reinstating him). We kick a kid off the team for being a crybaby. I guess we just have higher standards for our players here at UT.

Keep trimming the (Fulmer) fat Coach. Most of us knew this wasn't going to be a one year turnaround.

Tate is from suburban Trashville. Nobody in East Tennessee considers that corner of Hell to be "local."

Tate is from a great town outside of middle Tennessee, Hendersonville, I think that we had a pretty good kicker from the same town-different high school. He graduated with my oldest son, great kid. I do not think that we were ever a serious consideration.

Corner of HELL?????

there seems to be a lynchmob mentality here. nobody seems to know exactly what happened or what the official reason for his dismissal/suspension is, yet here come the pitchforks and torches. there may well be a good reason for dismissing him, but i damned sure haven't read it here.

What is sad is that you got one player(qb) that is killing Tennessee football.Im sure other players are mad.If you are winning there is no problem. If anyone knows Warren tell him to transfer to Appalachian St.It only about 3hrs away.
