Signees sticking: UT verbal commitments Kevin Ware of Rockdale County (Ga.) and Chris Jones of the Oak Ridge (N.C.) Military Academy are scheduled to sign with the Vols at press conferences Wednesday. Both Jones and Ware are combo guards.

The early signing period is November 10-17 and the regular signing period is April 13-May 18.

Ware was rated a 5* for the '12 class, I think. Jones is an '11 guard, and is rated a 4* by Scout.

Both are in the 11 class. Ware was rated a 5* and Jones a 4* last i saw. Both combo guards.

jones shut down that all american who is a freshman at tiger high in the tssaa state championship game last year. i'm very excited about him.

Both are 4 star guys on Rivals/Scout. Chris Jones is a Top 50 guy, while Ware is just outside of that. Really excited about both. From what I've seen of Ware on video he looks like a great athlete with a long wingspan. Chris Jones is short which appears to be the big knock against him. But he's a scoring machine. Dropped 42 on Joe Jackson and White Station in the Region 8-AAA championship last season. I don't know how good he's supposed to be at distributing the ball/being a leader though. We need some big guys badly though. Hopefully the investigation is over soon so we can move on.

Great news! This athletic dept. needs more of it right now. Like the other poster said, that ink can't get dry fast enough.

Ware is a much better shooter than JP was, but he is D-Wade-like at attacking the rim. A lot of fun to watch. He can absorb contact and finish with the best of them. He has the athleticism to be a shut-down defender at the next level as well.

Ware was a top 15 player in the class before trying to take on more of a PG role for his team to prepare him for UT. FWIW

I wish I did, and when the word becomes official that their papers are in, someone please spread the news.

Both have signed its official they are both all vol. Jones Memphis coach was just on sports animal and ware is said to be coming on at 5. I have to work so if anybody could relay what he says that would be great thanks.
