I'm not particularly thrilled with the newer maps, they're not really conducive to maneuver warfare like the older ones are.

They're not very good with directions on there....

Hit the button for the research screen (think it's L2) and it will say on the top left how to switch from aircraft to armor. Then click on one of the crap tanks you start with an pick 'choose a crew'

I have a question.

I want to stay on the beginners maps. Can you research 3.0 or higher tanks but not buy them and remain on the beginner's maps or once you have researched a 3.0 tank you go to the general domination maps with all players,

It goes by the highest battle rating in your lineup, with I think a 1.0 variance. So if your highest active is 2.3, it's possible you'll be matched with either 3.3 vehicles OR 1.3's.

What you research/buy doesn't affect your matchmaking, only the vehicles in your active lineup do.

The free for all mode is interesting, not really my thing, of course the only vehicle I have that qualifies to enter now is an unupgraded Tiger.

I pretty much only fly. But i play both modes and have discord. Hit me up sometime if any of yall are interested. More_Boom_Boom in the game

We just do ground battles, my friends have some planes they fly in those. I started later than most so I am only @ 5.7br British and 6.0 German. no air for me.

germans got unplayable when I just get uptiered every game and I can't kill the modern tanks. we still give them a shot every once and a while but usually only last a match or two.

british we have somewhat better luck. but we don't call it "HateThunder" for nothing.

pretty sure my name is LouderVol in that, I should be pretty easy to find.

Yeah. i've only been playing a year and a half maybe. I've got most of the old nations up to 5.0-6.0 but only air :(

Been meaning to work on some tanks sometime just haven't got around to it.

Got back into this one recently, still holds up very well.

The French reserve tanks are awful, I'll have to bite the bullet and play arcade to grind through them.

late tier french are painful to fight against. they keep their crew in weird places so finding a crit is difficult. also with all the weird shapes and angles its easy for a shell to bounce.

them being fast (AF) and having repeating guns doesn't help.

basically they are all M18s.

actually had a great match last night. I had bought a bunch of boosters which usually means I get one shot and do nothing. 300% lion, 500% research. I knew if I could get 2 kills and a cap it would be worth it. Single point, Road to Berlin. Ended up with 10 kills and 2 caps. made 88k lions and just under 10k in research at 3.7.

Match was great because it went down to the wire and was a pretty even fight the whole way thru.

called it a night after that, didn't want to follow up with a match to ruin my mood.

3.7 US is a nice sweetspot. If you can get over and plan beforehand, the M10 is a really solid vehicle. The AA .50 comes in real handy if you have a pak puma running around and your turret can't get on-target quick enough.

that was either British or Russian. probably Russian.

trying out the Americans now, got to get that Abrams.

M10 has NO turret traversal. and I love the M16s, 4 50s for the win. still best AA is the Wirb and Ost.
