War on Drugs + War on Poverty = War on the poor

That kinda has a circular effect to the wage discussion.

I haven't read any fast foods facts for why people choose to eat at those establishments but I think there is a good reason for why thy have a large market in this country.

Because tax payer subsidies (welfare) pays their employees. So they can sell you a burger for a dollar or yes.

Yes, when they are no longer subsidized, prices will increase and demand will drop. But it's not an industry worth receiving government subsidies.

Not everyone is capable of what you are asking. It's not the best and brightest who work in fast food. If you have an iq in he 70s or 80s, this is the best you can probably do.

Then don't have kids.

Poor people have sex. Every one does. And since the majority of you oppose free birth control and abortions, they're going to have babies as well.

It's a fact of life. Condoms aren't very effective.

Who said they should pay the same? I've only said that fast food chains should pay a livable wage.

Why? Because unskilled people choose to work there? Teenagers work there to put gas in their car, pay insurance, get some new shoes,......stuff like that while living at home. If they paid a livable wage that pay would be on par with jobs that actually require skill to do. You want employers to just give away money.

Why should anything be free?

Drugs, or substance abuse in general does contribute to the state of some neighborhoods, but that doesn't explain why there can be extensive substance abuse in more affluent neighborhoods without the blighting affect.

drug use before affluence or after? rich people are going to stay rich despite the use of drugs. poor people aren't helping themselves by using drugs.
