War in Ukraine

A Ukrainian soldier saying he saw men of his platoon die in the battle of Bakhmut: very plausible as it was a very common experience. Men in both armies saw men in their units die horrible deaths. No one can say that didn't happen. Well, let me correct myself: no one in the world aside from you and North Dallas can say it didn't happen. 😅

A Russian saying he saw 100,000 men of the Russian forces killed by Russian forces: laughable. No soldier in either army saw 100,000 men of their own army killed by their own army.
ok, you still didn't explain where I said the Ukrainian video was similar. that is literally something you are making up.

and I think you are missing the forest for the trees in this Russian video. I don't think his claims are Russians are pulling the trigger on other Russians. I believe the claim is that Russians are sending other Russians to go die. the russians put the russians in a position to die, so this Russian is blaming themselves, and not Ukraine.

similar to blaming our politicians for our war dead instead of the enemy who did the actual act of killing them.

**June 27, 2024** (Presidential debate against Joe Biden):

Donald Trump: “I will have that war settled between Putin and Zelensky as president-elect before I take office on January 20. I’ll have that war settled. People being killed so needlessly, so stupidly. And I will get it settled, and I’ll get it settled fast before I take office.”

Are you comparing the two videos or contrasting them? I'm not getting the point you're trying to make. Please clarify.

I am comparing your reactions to them.

We are simply to believe any video that paints Ukraine in a bad light. Even if its clearly AI, or taken without context, showing cemeteries over two hundred years old. Not only do we have to believe it, but the message contained within is to be accepted as the truth across a wide portion of the population, and not one person's opinion.

on the other hand, we are simply to NOT believe any video that paints Russia in a bad light. We are supposed to parse it down to individual parts, take those out of context, take those pieces to the extremes far beyond the content of the video, to show how bad they are. and then even if the video were true its the opinion of one person and not to be taken as a wide spread feeling.

He’s a textbook example of confirmation bias in full bloom.

How many ways can you rewrite "capitulate to Russia's demands, and submit to your invader"?
Russia isn't giving up very much, if any of the territory they have taken. No one can make them do that without putting boots on the ground and taking it back. Ukraine doesn't have the man power to do it, therefore that isn't happening.

The best time for them to come up with a deal was probably Fall of 2022 to early 2023. Today is going to be a better deal than tomorrow. (same thing I said in 2022 and there is nothing on the horizon to indicate that trend won't continue)

Its still very hard to see how this eventually works its way out though, in detail.

One of the easiest predictions ever, they will complain the Orange man didn't stop the war to complaining that the Orange man stopped the war. Same nuts, different day.

(for the record, this plan is still seems problematic for a long term solution to me but it does appear that lots of pressure is being applied -> we'll see... i have doubts)

Trump has applied zero pressure to Russia to make any concessions.

The 'surrender plan' that he has given to Ukraine, is nothing more then Russia's various demands of Ukraine and NATO over the last few decades bundled together.

There are no cards to play you loon, and no Trump doesn't need to pressure them.... you wanted the war to be over, that is easy to do as I told you long ago.

Easy prediction is already coming true and it hasn't even happened yet.

The Ukraine lost. The good news for the Ukrainians is that it looks like its being rejected, so they can go back to dying. I guess in someone's world that is good news.

Lol "no cards to play"...

It would take about 20 tomahawk missiles given to Ukraine to collapse Russians oil exports and their entire economy.

Ukraine isn't going to accept Putin wishlist and neither is the EU, they'll play for time like the have every other instance where Trump has tried to do Putin's bidding.

No its not. That is not how any of this works. Magic like that doesn't exist.

Russia's economy is in shambles. They can only prop it up for so long with their sovereign wealth fund. Coupled with the brain drain from people fleeing the country, companies pulling out, and lack of access to technology, it's just a matter of time.

What have you been right about? Nothing materially that I can see i.e. loony. The obvious will most likely going to happen here, just like I said in the Fall of 2022... one doesn't have to be smart, the only requirement is not to be a loon.

(For the record, I am not predicting a quick end to this (but I guess it could)... matter of fact, if the Russians want to end this once and for all... carry on imo till there is virtually nothing left)

Russia had not moved to a war economy in 2023.

The fact that you believe that Russia economy is the same now as it was in February of 2023 does explain some of the things you post at least.
