I think we’ve already used Ukraine to sow more land mines than in Laos and Vietnam combined. Remember when that was an “absolute horror” and “a crime” and “think of the children!”

We'll see if Putin actually shows. Zelenskyy will have to understand that he will be getting little to nothing of the eastern regions back as well. If these two things happen, then there is a chance.

If I were a betting men, I'd put the two most likely outcomes are either Putin not showing up, or Trump telling Zelensky that he has to surrender Ukraine to Putin. for the sake of "peace".

All he would have to do is bring the troops, cia, NGOs, intelligence, signit, money, and weapons home. Zelensky is irrelevant.

They haven’t even drafted their 18-25 year olds.

What’s wrong with Russia having those regions? We re-drew borders in the former Yugoslavia in the peace we dictated there. I don’t think anyone really believes Russia will invade all of Europe if they gain one inch. That was crazy war propaganda.

Russia took those areas on the field of battle, so it's their option to keep it. It's the way the world has worked for a thousand years. I'm sure Putin would like to take some of the former Soviet regions back, but Russia is far too weak to do so anytime soon. Their losses, particularly in equipment have been far, far too great for anyone to worry about that.
