War in Ukraine

Russia could have easily taken the Donbas when they took Crimea. Instead they hoped securing Crimea would deter Ukraine from further attacks in the Donbas. To say neither side adhered to Minsk is disingenuous at best.
Read the bias in this Wikipedia article... But you get the point. Luhansk and Donetsk held referenda and Putin refused to admit them in 2014. He could have easily done so back then if he wanted. Instead, he chose diplomacy which lead to the failed Minsk agreements and 8 years of terror for the people of Donbas.

2014 Donbas Status Referendums

Referendums on the status of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, parts of Ukraine that together make up the Donbas region, were claimed to have taken place on 11 May 2014 in many towns under the control of the Russian-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. These referendums intended to legitimise the establishment of the so-called "republics", in the context of the Russian invasion of Crimea and rising pro-Russian unrest in the aftermath of the 2014 Ukrainian Revolution. In addition, a counter-referendum on accession to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was held in some Ukrainian-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

We support them when they terrorize too. The us doesn't care who does their dirty work
Have you ever been to Israel? When I was there they walked around with uzis . They live under the threat of terror every day. They have a right to defend themselves.

Everyone does

But even in FL you can't pick a fight and then claim stand your ground. Interesting that seems to apply to both situations

Good point and well said.

The country that @Rasputin_Vol and @volgr wish we were more like .....

As I have already said, the West openly brags about a) fomenting color revolutions around the globe to ultimately bring about regime change of leaders they do not like and b) has stated their goal is to regime change Russia.

The West cant then cry when Russian protects itself from citizens supporting western interests.

Hey @Rasputin_Vol, are we now authorized to invade Russia? At least here she's a US citizen, not just an English language speaker. Ukraine being mean to Russian-speaking Ukrainian citizens seemed to be sufficient for you.

In what universe (outside of Mar-A-Lago's echo chamber) can you be in bed with Iran and North Korea and be on the right side of history?

its been pretty well documented that Russia has been using prisoners to man the front lines.
Prisoners that volunteered to sign contracts with PMCs like Wagner and Storm Z has indeed been the case. Bit there is no evidence of Russia press ganging prisoners to the front lines.

When you tell a half truth, you are still telling a lie.
