Like war, sometimes the superior side will lose a battle or two. While I am not overly concerned that Bama may end up playing for a natty, I am concerned with one game and one game only.
Being that the officials will not spot Bama points before the game for just showing up, they will have to play the game like we will. They may have more experienced players, but that is no guarantee of a win. We thought we had superior players last week and we lost. Couldn't the same thing happen this week too?
I don't think CJP will forfeit the game so we will have to do all that we can to go out and win this one.
Agree with everyone that putting JG out there to start could prove detrimental. Even Bama knows what dislike or lack of confidence we have with JG, and they will take full advantage of this on the field. Bailey or Maurer will have some jitters too but it means a different game plan for Bama.
We just cannot let them have the first TD or any points for that matter when the game begins.
GA made sure we got rattled on every play. Their tactic worked like a charm. We were way off balance and they knew it. KY took advantage of our inefficiencies and knew we were psychologically out of the game at the half. Never recovered.
Yes, we do have a chance with the right frame of mind. It starts in the head before those pads are put on.
