Strong is not on our list because he didn't do well at Texas.
Gundy is not on our list because he is not interested in Tennessee, he only wants to use leverage to get a raise at his current school.
Les Miles is lucky with a talented team at LSU but his luck ran out.
Gruden won't take a pay cut to come here. Money from Monday Night Football and also commercials and also q.b. camps. He won't leave the booth.
Randy Shannon is a shoe salesman.
Tennessee won't have egg on their face and look desperate by hiring Kiffin.
Stoops won't come out of retirement.
Petrino is too old to likely stay very long.

Kiffen is the one letting it be known he would love to be at Tennessee and he would be grateful for a second chance But Gruden is 1st Frost 2nd Iowa st's head coach would be 3 then Kiffen 4th and he would be areeeee witch!!

Chip Kelly will depleat our roster to make it smaller and faster. Then in two or three seasons, he will leave. And our roster will be too small to be competitive in the S.E.C. unless we stick to the Chip Kelly gimic offense. It will take our next coach 7 years to recover from any Chip Kelly debacle.

I am somewhat of a Chip homer. However why would you say or even think he would leave in 2 years? The last 18 years of Chip's college career he coached at 2 schools........leaving Oregon after 6 years there only for the NFL.

Also why do you think that when Chip left, the school would be doomed (so to speak) for many years? After Chip left Oregon the team went 11-2, then 13-2, then 9-4...........So how did he leave them in terrible shape again?

Honestly, who will be left once Florida, Auburn, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, and Ole Miss all hire their coaches before Tennessee decides to act?

Loser of Auburn TAMU gets fired. Probably Sumlin. I think Gus keeps his job. If Frost, Mullen fall through, we might have decide between Norvell, Brohm, or Sumlin. I would favor Sumlin.

Why Sumlin? He hasn't exactly set the world on fire with his coaching, all he'd bring is more heartache and disappointment

Frost is just like Kiffin. He will leave as soon as the Nebraska job, his dream job comes open. Do not want that..

Frost likely has his choice between Florida/Nebraska/Tennessee RIGHT NOW. All three schools have likely reached out to his agent and made overtures. Frost will decide where he wants to go. If he ends up at UF or UT, Nebraska will have to hire someone else. So now, you’re looking at 5-6 years down the road before the Nebraska job were to open up again, even longer if the next guy does well.

If Frost takes the UT or UF job and in 6 or 7 years decides he wants Nebraska after all, then fine, go. If it’s a situation like Urban Meyer, you’ll take your two national titles in 6 years and walk away with a huge grin on your face. If you don’t have Urban Meyer like success, well, it was probably time for a change anyway.

So I’m not too concerned about the “he’ll leave for Nebraska” stuff. He has the option to choose Nebraska now.

That guy is an emotional thinker. He's not logical. If it feels right to him he sticks to it.

I'm told the Dark Side Force (Florida) is strong with Mullen.

Tennessee needs to look no further than Jedi Justin Skywalker Fuente and Jedi Matt Hans Solo Campbell.

because it appears Frost or Mullen are the two many think are headed to Gainesville.

what's more concerning to me is that Frost isn't even rated for TN. and Mullen seems like a real long shot.

but, remember, just trying to get Joe q. public to put some money down.
Heard, today, the AD at Florida can't stand Mullen. Apparently Mullen had a real difficult attitude to deal with and Florida's AD got all he could stand of it while he was at Miss State.

Looking at the latest odds for TN’s and FL’s next coaches a couple of things I wonder…
1. Why are Chip’s odds better going to TN than FL?
2. Frost is not on our list, but he’s #2 on FL. Do we have not shot?
3. Petrino is #3 on our list but not on FL’s? Due to the initial rumors he’d go here? Why wouldn’t this apply to FL?
4. Norvell is push to both, although rumors have said he’s either their #1 or #2 on their list. If isn’t tops on ours, why not?
5. Why would Fleck, Miles, or Brian Kelly, not be on FL’s list? Why would Gundy, Campbell, Babers, or Strong not be on ours?
6. If you had to place a considerable sum of money on the next coach at both schools would you take someone on this list or the field?

Who made this list? And what the Hell are they smoking?

something to consider about Gruden. Financials are trending badly for ESPN so long term can they afford Gruden?

What were the Vegas odds that we would hire Butch, Dooley or Kiffin? I am guessing not so good!!!

Well since UT hasn't fired their coach yet it allows UF to roam around and start the process of finding a new coach faster than us....And that sucks because hey might be able to hire Frost who is the golden child right now...If that happens then we will need to do whatever it takes to get Chip Kelly...Period
