Look, I can't pretend to know what's going on in the Browns office, but I follow them, and have for a long time. They have guys, a lot of guys, in that office that believe in playing the game come draft time. These are guys that built the phili eagles in their day. These are draft focused guys. The coach loves the vols, the owner loves the vols, they also are playing the game.

yeah going to the browns is career suicide, but they still have to pay you, I'd go.

For how long? A quarter and a half? RG3 is made of tootpicks and silly putty. If the Browns take a QB he's got to be ready to play.

Correct. Not only is RG3 fragile, he's also not an NFL qb. Any qb they take should be expected to start right away, not sit behind a failed qb who's also a horrible teammate? What's to be learned in that situation? Hope Josh doesn't go to Cleveland, he deserves a much better opportunity and fate than that.

"This is way too early for Josh Dobbs"

I hope he goes high in the draft, but it's funny watching the OP try to justify garbage posts.

Seeings how big daddy Haslam owns the Browns. that ain't to fer fetched.

Time to fake an injury and settle for less money somewhere else.

With 5 picks in the first 65 selections of the 2017 draft, Cleveland could get a quick turnaround if they draft wisely.

I'd love if Cleveland did this:

Round 1, Pick 1: DE Myles Garrett (Texas A&M)
Round 1, Pick 12: CB Marlon Humphrey (Alabama)
Round 2, Pick 33: TE Evan Engram (Ole Miss)
Round 2, Pick 52: QB Josh Dobbs (Tennessee)
Round 3, Pick 65: S Marcus Maye (Florida) or S Eddie Jackson (Alabama)

That would give them 5 immediate starters with pro-bowl potential. Cleveland would be well on its way to being a respectful franchise once again.

Browns are desperate for a QB. If they reach on Dobbs, great for him. But hate seeing him go to a dumpster up there.

I like watching the self pats on the back for doing nothing.

D4H he might get drafted in the 2nd round.

But he has looked awful, more than a few times throwing the ball.

There is substantiated reason for the doubt.

Regardless...if he goes in the 2nd round. Then you were ultimately right.

Which really means. You were ALWAYS right!

Cheers...

All I've been hearing the past week is the Browns are going to try to trade for Jimmy Garoppolo. If so, they might be giving up this pick and others. Given Cleveland's history, this seems a more likely path of action. Dobbs might actually eventually win some games for them. That won't fly with the Cleveland front office.

Taking Garrapolo would be a Cleveland move. That guy is lously. I can't believe NFL teams allow Belichek to con them. Remember Ryan Mallet?

Remember when Dobbs was just a 6th-7th round draft pick according to all the "experts" and I said he would ultimately work his way into the 2nd round?

Well here is the first post-Senior Bowl mock draft on WalterFootball.com and voila, Josh Dobbs is now being projected to go in the 2nd round to the Cleveland Browns.

WalterFootball.com: 2017 NFL Mock Draft: Second Round

The article calls him a reach in the 2nd round. Would be a very Cleveland thing to do
