I thought this guy was supposed to be a beast??? Does anyone know what happened to him. He was a 5*. I thought he might be a good DT if he added some weight.

He might have been a beast on the end. Unforunately he plays tackle and he isn't a beast there apparently.

They moved him to DT and he's been trying to add weight, he'll be a solid back up this year.

yeah, he was a big JUCO addition, but usually when we get JUCO (unless Mahelone or Toeanina) they usually end up being good, capable backups. Yeah, Fisher was at DE, but moved at the his junior b/c they needed depth at DT.

I really hope the same fate doesn't happen to Hall, I heard he's an awesome DE.

He is way to undersized to play DT in D1 football...I bet he would dominate off the end.

If he would dominate at the DE position, then why the hell would they move him

Doesnt make much since.

Stick with what works IMO

The lack of DT recruiting kind of screwed Fisher. He's an undersized DT. He's a guy, like Aubreyo Franklin, who may very well end up having a better Pro career than college one.

Yeah, this really sucks for Fisher. He could probably be getting lots of looks from the pro scouts as a DE, but instead he is playing a backup role as a DT. He might not even get drafted due to this. I guess he could always sign as a free agent and then show them what he can do at DE in the camps. If Chavis were recruiting DT's as he should be then Fisher would be in his proper position as a DE.

I can imagine how some will see this, but considering the Dline depth and how playing 5-6 DB's usually doesn't work, what about a 5 man Dline with 2 LB's? Our secondary should be strong and with 5 on the line it'd certainly cause offenses more trouble in the run game. It's so simple a defense that it could be used opportunistically.

5-2 defense has been very effective against the run in the past. You better have some quick lb's though. There is a huge void left in the middle when playing this defense. I like it personally. When i played madden a bunch i used it all the time. We should be able to commit more people to the line this year with our so-called all world secondary. Berry and morley will surely be very good. Corner's to me still seem a little suspect.

Usually you don't want to put more players on the field at the position you're the thinnest and least proven.

I see your point but my angle is we're not only thin in depth but performed weak against the run as well as light in pass rush, something has to change if execution doesn't.

More able body's would help. We need to use the rest of our scholarships this year taking linemen and linebackers. If only to weed through them and find a few that can contribute.
