is listed on the latest UT roster. Cranford (6-4, 190) was an all-state DB for Christ Presbyterian Academy last fall, registering 52 tackles and 5 INTs. He also had 46 catches for 791 yards and 7 TDs. He won the state Class A-AA 400m championship this spring with a time of 49.33 (his PR is 49.14).

As a junior Cranford caught 52 passes for 828 yards and 8 TDs.

He has a tough road ahead with all the talent at WR, but I love an instate kid. If he can develop a good on field relationship with a QB (Worley or Peterman) like Jacob Carter, it could be his fastest way on the field. Jacob Carter could be in for some PT, because throughout the spring he seemed to be Worley's go to WR.

Quality athlete especially considering he isn't even taking up a scholarship. Good pickup by the staff.

If only Worley were the starter......

Well since spring practice is over and camp hasn't started there really isn't mush to talk about except how good we think the newcomers are going to be. Carter likely wont play this year but if he keeps practicing the way he did in the spring he has a chance to get on scholarship by his senior year and maybe get some playing time as well.

I agree with you. I asked a friend of mine who's a 2nd team linebacker about him and he believes he'll see the field this year, probably in a limited role (special teams, late game situations).

What are numbers 26 and 21 doing in this picture? Looks like they aren't even aware a play is going on.

Looks like they are trying to catch up to me...camera angle makes it look wierd I think.

Any chance he could be moved to DB? Sorry I am just tired of seeing Teague get burned over and over.

I really wish everyone realized that when players play hurt they don't play to their potential. Look for Teague to be the starter this year. It's not because the talent is not there it is because he has great talent as well as he is FINALLY healthy and is a sr with the most knowledge. If he gets beat that means we have a damn food player at corner back.

We have so much young talent at DB.. Bonner, Coleman, Orta, L.Mcneil, B.Moore. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these guys stepped up in camp and won the starting job or if PWag locked one corner down and they just rotated the other with Gordon flying around making plays at Nickel.
