Walk-On Tryouts this Friday Aug 25th

My trademark is a high step to the end zone while holding the ball high in the air, followed by a front flip into the checkerboards, topped off with a throat slash and spike. Should go over well with officials.

Well worth the 15 yard unsportsmanlike on the try or kickoff.

Been a lurker for years but I wanted to say my youngest brother is a freshman and will be trying out this weekend. He's had this dream since he was about 2 years old. Plus, it's on my Birthday so that'd pretty much be the most epic gift ever. 😃

Don't know how long they have been doing this. I would think there have been several walk-ons over the years to be successful.

JJ McClesky (WR) went on to play for the Saints and Cardinals.

McClesky was an invited walk on. A true Volunteer who made himself a great player at Tennessee. If Butch had researched that about JJ, he might have made a stronger play for the son.

Walk-ons better have and keep good grades.

That is one area where the team can increase GPA.

They won't chance having a walk-on bring the average down.

But some of those are preferred walk-ons. This is to be on the meat squad.

It's just in case someone completely off the radar enrolls and they don't end up discovering him when he tears an ACL playing intramural flag football.
