How so? What exactly is he wrong about? Or is it that you aren't open to opposing opinions? I think it's very much worth a watch, because even if you disagree, it challenges you to see someone else's POV. Never discount what you can learn by keeping an open mind. If those are his feelings, you have to ask yourself why? What has he experienced to come to that conclusion? There is value in everyone's story and only the foolish dismiss that.

I disagree with him. Not the first time I've disagreed with a politician. Probably not going to be the last either.
I didn't word my other post well. He is right on the historical points he brings up. I just disagree with his modern day assessment of Republicans and Democrats.

My eye opening experience was the Sam Harris, TYT fiasco. I only watched the young Turks for news and followed cnn msnbc etc. That one event made my eyes open up to how the left wing media works, and even when it’s a well known intellectual on their own side of politics they’ll do hit piece after hit piece if they disagree with them. I’m glad I walked away in 2017 and at this point I’ll never go back.

Trump will get my vote in 2020 and I’ll maybe vote republican for the rest of my life. I don’t consider myself republican, nor conservative, but I will never vote for what the Dems have become/probably have always been.

He’s a neuroscientist/leftist author/atheist who has been critical of Islam. Hence why the left doesn’t like him. TYT is The Young Turks. They are a left leaning independent news company that makes videos on YouTube. Pretty much everyone young, and around my age whose left leaning, watch TYT.

It’s like the party sold its soul.
My beliefs are the same but are nowhere near that of the party. Not anymore

So this medium made you a Trump supporter? Atheist are critical of all religions. In conclusion youtube videos are not news and never should be taken as such. Grow up.

I know reading comprehension is tough for you. But it was the event that opened his eyes. It’s looking around at the rest of the Democrats and their BS with a fresh awakening that did it in for him.
While I don’t think I will be voting for trump anytime soon it does bother me to think I was once as stupid and blind as you.

There's a couple of democrats in our local elections that I vote for, but I know them, and they're not that crazy. As in, Russia! Meh trump! There's1,000 genders! That kinda crazy. My favorite politician is a moderate democrat in Kentucky, and was my teacher before he got into politics. The majority of my family were democrats until they went off the deep end.

Lol sure bro whatever you say. I’d say TYT is as respectable in the liberal world as Buzzfeed, Vox, And Vice. Some would hold them higher than CNN and msnbc. They were on TV a while back before Current TV got bought out. Not sure why being on TV would give them more cred, but whatever.

While we are on this topic. Most of my friends (who are stoner, pro choice old school liberals) who are voting for trump, don’t like trump. It’s why the media writing hit piece after hit piece never works. We know trump is a A hole. We know Trump isn’t the best president. Heck some of us think he’s a joke. But we’re sick of the Dems, and the high horse you guys are always on that you guys never hear out our points. Your response being a great example.

Basically us old school liberals don't go to Twitter, YouTube, 4chan or TYT for news. First and foremost they are all opinion pieces (you need to recognize this) and if it caused you to go far right, I feel sorry for you.
I also don't think the Tweets from Trump are representative of the Republican party. Some, sure but they are the ones that can't think for themselves.

What evidence do you have that I’m far right? Is it that I left your party? Is it that I’m voting for trump? And the fact that you’re acting like TYT is like 4chan or YouTube is pure ignorance. TYT was on Current TV, I suggest you go look up who started that channel. If Al Gore trusts TYT then shouldn’t you? You are a party man after all.
