Waldo Orta DB

I think they have been saying that he is in the mix for at least one of the safety positions, competing to possibly start, or at least get some reps rotating in there. I think I heard he had passed Wilks to claim a starting spot, at least for now, but that is with Brewer out. Sounds like he is seriously competing.

Brewer is a LB period. He's terrible at safety. I'd take my chances with McNeil, Orta, Randolph, and Moore at safety before having Brewer on the back end. He's just not a very good football player.

It's nice to finally have some depth and different people to talk about competing for a change.

We're finally starting to get better and things are looking up.

VFL...GBO!!!

B.Moore is the starter next to Randolph right now. Been that way for a week now. To all the people that think Teague will have a good year you're crazy. Waggner, Lanier, Coleman, and Gordon are all better. They also have Tino Thomas too who has a lot of natural talent. Then Deion Bonner is coming in the fall. Teague should've been moved back to WR. Especially with us being short on bodies.

Agree 100% yet LaDarrel McNeil is supposed to be even better than Bonner. While we are on the topic of DBs, Is Dontavis Sapp permanently moved from Safety to ILB??

What game other than the Western KY did Teague show anything and they were horrible

Great against WKU lol, I know right...and I think he was very good against Georgia when Crompton found a clue late in 2009. What game has Z.Rogers ever showed anything besides stonehands and fear of contact? :)

Sapp is a LB. And he's a pretty good player. McNeil was the best HS recruit we picked up in last year's recruiting class. He and Bonner are two of the best DB prospects we've pulled in a while. Gray and Tino are nice too though. Was a very underrated DB class that we signed.

What big game did A.Rogers show up for? He and Zach Rogers are the same kind of terrible players.

2007

California 6 catches
Southern miss 7 catches
Arkansas 6 catches
Vanderbilt 8 catches

2006
Air force 5 catches

If I recall correctly some of his catches in the California game were short critical ones

Critical for what? The game wasn't on the line. We were getting punished in that game. Now what other good team is on there? The whole Rogers Family of WRs needs to play for Marshall or someone like that not WRU.

Well, considering the last time I watched the Cal game was opening day of 2007 I might not remember all the details. When I say critical I mean there might have been some 3rd downs converted on first down.

I was just pointing out that he had some decent games.

Also, Rogers was the #2 receiver last time Tennessee had 10 wins

So what? That doesn't make him a good player. Rogers, Lucas Taylor, and Briscoe were all terrible. Taylor was the only one that could've played slot or something. Rogers having decent games against bad competition proves nothing. Zach Rogers actually didn't have a terrible game against Florida his sophomore. He also had a long TD against UAB. Does that make him a good player? Oh okay, both of them should've never been offered. Not up to UT standards at WR.

Teague's troubles at CB, stem largely from his inability to apply the bump on his man. Teague struggles to make contact with his man and carry out his footwork, thus he gives his man large cushions.

He also is a bit scared to break on passes.
