Waiting on that thread

I'm waiting on that thread where the poster tells us the sun will come up tomorrow. Come on sunshine pumpers do your job.
There is optimism and flat out lunacy.

I used to be optimistic under Butch Jones.

There were points where he looked like he knew what he was doing.

Pruitt looks like he has no idea what to do. He has regressed from super D coordinator at Bama and FSU, back to the days when he was an elementary school gym teacher.

Yes, bring forth your infinite wisdom and share how we are building, improving and why firing Pruitt would make the football program that much worse.

Well, I've seen plenty today that said it wasn't.....
Surely you of all people are not going to tell me that you saw no improvement in the O line play.....well I saw plenty...plenty....I saw the D line improve a little..

We are hurting on the backend of the D and our corners aren't very good at tackling or in coverage......
I know you better than the post you just posted...
Go ahead and give us your bullet points of failure but how about complimenting those kids that are showing improvement....
Your better than that.....some kids played really well today...the O line was a WHOLE lot tougher...and I mean a lot

As much as I hate to say it I didn’t want to waste the afternoon watching so went to beach, listened to first half and checked out after that...why ruin a perfectly good beach day. So, I guess I was a sunshine pumper of a different sort, and may be my new norm for UT games. Why should I waste my time to watch disgusting display of non competitive football???

I honestly don’t know if you will see it today. The effort today and against GA State is as pathetic as I have seen.

Not going to to lie, I was still pro Pruitt going into today and willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but after what I saw today....that has changed.

We are so far gone at this point that I am not sure if firing him will solve anything.

Whoever our next coach is will have major work to do.

That's hitting kind of hard the many elementary school gym teachers in our great land !

Fact is Tennessee football died when Butch was hired. We were still a brand with strong recruiting power backed by great fans and facilities. The admins went all in on Butch Jones and lost the hand. Now we are just doing small buy-backs hoping for a miracle. Tough for any coach to get recruits good enough to compete in the SEC from where the program has fallen.

Ok. I'll do it.

It should be clear that the decision was made very early, likely before the season even began, to play the young kids and tell the ones we are recruiting that they will play next year as soon as they can get here. Our program is so far gone the only way to recover is to start over from scratch. I'm sure Pruitt and Fulmer have discussed this but it can't be announced publicly because Fulmer job is to keep as much money coming in as possible. Our greatest asset right now is great recruiters on our staff. We will have a good team in 2021 and a very, very good team in 2022 and we hope every year after that for years to come but this season and next are not going to be fun.

So, I guess you're saying, our program is so far gone, we need to rebuild it, brick by brick? I think I've heard that once or twice before....

I'm thrilled we have a bi (correction "bye" as the "wanna be" comedian points out below) week, and find myself increasingly eager for the end of the season. I've never felt that way.....

If that’s even remotely true, which I hope wouldn’t be, then they both need to be gone.

You’re saying that Pruitt told Fulmer we’re going to suck this year, talking 1-11 suck just to get freshmen playing time and aim for a title run three years down the road? Hahahahahahaha, Pruitt won’t survive 1-11.

And if Fulmer agreed to that, he’s an idiot and will be gone as well
