Signing day seems to be the sticking point according to some of you as to why some coaches don't want to bail on their current team. I hate to further damage the recruiting class but I'd rather lose half the class than to hire a David Cutcliffe. If they hire someone like that then they'll be losing recruits every year, so what's the difference?

Should Hamilton consider waiting until after signing day to find a coach? I'm asking not to promote this idea rather curious if some of you think better coaching prospects would emerge?

I don't see how he can wait until after NSD. We can not afford to lose half of this recruiting class. Our numbers are already low and our depth at key positions is scary. I don't see that this is an option.

I don't see how the coaching pool gets bigger after NSD. Talk about weasel a coach recruits a whole bunch of kids and they sign. Then the coach leaves? I think they should be looking at high end OCs and DCs

no way we can wait...we have to salvage at least some of this class..volsfanrj hit the nail on the head. Fulmer's laziness and Queefin's quick sword to cut has left us in dire need of numbers.

That's what I've been saying all along and I've been shot down for saying it. I think we should wait and not rush this.

We are between the proverbial rock and hard place.

I agree. I feel for MH right now. I was curious if a guy like Stoops would be more likely come here say in April rather than 3 weeks before signing day? If the candidates didn't improve than MH should obviously hire now.

You have to have some sort of stability in your program to get recruits to spend the next 3-4 years at your university and waiting till after NSD is not the way to go.
