Waco Motorcycle War

Is the Outlaws clubhouse still over off Western Avenue?

I helped a guy out one time getting some parts for his sister's car. Got to be friends with the guy and turned out that was the group he ran around with. Seemed like a nice enough guy, but nothing I wanted to be running around with.

In the 70s, I believe they hung out at the Corn Pone on Clinton Hwy in Powell. Might have been a different group.

I didn't realize "it's legal to ban the display of motorcycle club patches in public establishments," as posted in that article linked above.

All of the deaths are from police? Wow.

The whole banning of the patches thing is probably a law, but likely one rarely enforced. Kind of impossible to do so with any effectiveness.

And "multiple witnesses" always makes me chuckle when the conspiracies start coming out.

Anybody know why the political left in America is trying to equate this incident with Ferguson and Baltimore?

The one I'm thinking of was in a house in that neighborhood behind Hardees on Western. A few years back the Sherriff raided it on New Years Eve, if I remember right, in what was a pretty questionable raid. I don't remember anything ever coming from it.

But where were all the "Don't tread on me!" gunslingers to save the day? Oh right, every bike in their gang probably had that on their bumper sticker. Guns are a problem people, give up the rhetoric. Things aren't safer when a plethora of guns are on hand. People die, and are buried leaving their loved ones to grieve. It's completely tragic. There would have been fewer injuries/deaths with proper gun control. There will never be a solution, but please use the intelligent brain God gave you! Anyone who carries a gun is lying to themselves that they are safe. WAKE UP AMERICA, OUR PRIDE IS KILLING US!

No guns worked as they should, only the bad guys got killed.

Yes just make Twin Peaks a gun free zone! You really think these gangs would not have guns if gun control was in place. Gun control takes guns from honest citizens not criminals.

I don't think "proper gun control" would have really mattered at all in this situation.

Did these guys really seem like the type to concern themselves with following laws?

This is what blows my mind. That anyone really thinks these people would follow such laws. Maybe we should just make killing people illegal...

Yeah, that kind of caught my attention as well as the bail set at a million apiece.

Something just doesn't smell right. You have 100+ "outlaws" with guns and no police or civilians get hit, only the 9 bikers killed. Either the bikers are god awful shots or something else went down.

Heck if I see 200 bikers at any establishment ( and I have nothing against bikers) I'm probably not stopping there. Having said that, the fact that no employees were caught up in this is pretty amazing.

I don't believe in the conspiracy that all of them were shot by cops.

But I do know the police knew something was going down that day. Call it a conspiracy or whatever, you don't have that many officers prepositioned on a somewhat regular occurrence. And from what I understand, Twin Peaks is a regular hangout of most motorcycle clubs. If you want to "monitor" the situation, you put a handful of officers to watch in highly visible areas where everyone can see them and they don't get out of line. A SWAT team in the immediate vicinity is not "monitoring" by any means. And reeks of information known in advance.

And this only points to a CI inside one of the two clubs. Or maybe both. And from what I understand of the hierarchy of the bike world, something like this doesn't go down without being sanctioned by the higher levels of the club. Which means the CI is likely placed at a higher level that would know the decision was made and maybe who made it. Which does lead to the organized crime charge, but I doubt seriously that will stick on many if not most of the ones involved.

All in all, the cops know a lot more than they let on. And after the Jay Dobyns incident, probably want to keep such informants as quiet as possible.
