Too bad rhat youth is wasted on the young.
Never underestimate how valuable the lessons of not achieving your personal goals & using those experiences as motivation to enhance your game with a fresh start in a new environment where the competition is not quite as stiff . If he learned enough here he can combine that knowledge with the instruction of his new coaches at his next school & even surpass his previous goals. I hope he excels at his next stop & made enough memories as a Vol to last a lifetime ‼️ His youth is far from wasted ‼️

Satterwhite is listed as our backup currently.

It has been widely reported that Satterwhite passed him on the depth chart some time ago, so this isn’t much of a surprise. Some of y’all might want to make sure you’re informed before you start panicking.

Where was he scheduled to be a starter at?
Seems Lang was our backup center til he wasn’t. I don’t recall Satterwhite getting much PT in garbage time, so it’s all relative. Austin Nichols was penciled in the starting guard til he wasn’t. Then we got Kuric.

Either way, we don’t have any young guys getting snaps. That’s 4 years into this.

I just realized that neither Lang nor Satterwhite have had a single rep this year. Who was taking reps behind Mays at center???
Lang has played in 5 games, Satterwhite has played in 3 games. I believe most of Lang's reps where at guard.

Ellarbee is not your problem. This is the way college football is now with an open transfer portal. The next guy you hire will have the same exact problem. You asked for it and now you have it.

How do you think we get back up from the Bama roster? Kids have options now and do not have to ride the bench.

Expected to start at center next year. So at a minimum we lose 3 starters and our top 3 backups. With no young guys getting significant minutes. Nico or no Nico, this will be why we fall off next year.
Wasn’t our OL, along with our secondary, a huge question mark coming into the season? Yet here we are getting ready to play our first playoff game in Tennessee history. I think we’ll be fine next year.

It was designed to get us through this season, which it pretty much did. But that was by paying 5 guys to come back for their COVID year. Next year, the cupboard is bare. It bears repeating. Ellerbee has yet to recruit a HS lineman to start one game. The portal has been good to us, so I guess that is the general plan.

We clamor for every OL who enters the portal.,.until one of ours follows suit. 😏 Kid put in work and didn’t like his projected playing time. Good luck to him.

Most people have zero clue the time that athletes put in to the journey (before and after their arrival on campus), and what they have to give up to chase a dream.

Do you have inside knowledge of this? If not, why do you come here to post this? If so, why do you come here to post this?
Need VFL’s plain and simple. This a sounding board not personal. It is what it is. GBO!

He wasn't wrong. Sanders hasn't started a game yet. None of Elarbee's HS recruits have proven themselves capable, but this horse is beat to death...

We'll see how they do in 2025. I think Umarov, Satterwhite, and Perry will all be solid contributors next year. Could also see some good stuff from Sanders, Warren, and J. Heard (my sleeper pick for future first round OT).

So just say whatever whether you know it to be true/correct? Doesn't make much sense from my view, but post however you see fit.
