VT win changes everything

What?? Have you forgotten who's left on our schedule? Unless we get much, much, much better we'll struggle to go 2-2 vs the tough 4 game SEC stretch beginning here in a couple weeks. This team, as it's currently playing, has zero chance to stay within two touchdowns of Alabama.

Agree, told my son after last nights game we could go 0-4 during that stretch of games. Our current O- line is really bad. Dobbs has no time to set up in the pocket and throw downfield and Hurd and Kamara typically get hit in the back filed or at the line of scrimmage 80% of the time we run the ball. Florida's defense is liable to hold us to 10 points or less. Hope I'm wrong. Maybe CBJ will make some changes on the O line ( get Coleman and Richmond out and put Jack Jones in) and we will improve.. Time will tell.

After watching Florida play this weekend there is no way this UT team beats them unless miracles happen on the offense.

We have our own issues to say the least but florida is beatable. Florida has the typical drop back passing QB. The defensive front should have a good day against that.

Whipping up on Kentucky while committing turnovers every other series doesn't make them unstoppable.

This team is way too inconstant. It's eerily similar to the year Dave Clawson was the coordinator in the sense that we had so much talent that just couldn't produce like it should have. 4 years in and we still don't have any receivers getting much more than 50 yards a game. Butch said that this offense was going to be like the 49er's when Kaepernick got them to the super bowl. Well, if it is, then I must have been high as a kite when I watched that team because they could actually pass which opened up the run game. We are a one dimensional team.

It does matter when you look to the rest of the schedule. If you feel great about this team then more power to you. If we continue on this path we will lose 4-5 games.

I agree with the four game loss and at the least three. Our offense is fair at best and their plays are predictable.

*Whine* if VT would have held on to the ball they would have won the game. (Well no sh*t our defense was smothering them and was causing fumbles directly and indirectly) IT'S PART OF THE GAME! Should we have fumbled it right back to them and said "no we want to win a different way"...VN is joke some times. Yes our offense still wasn't the best but you could see improvement from game 1 to game 2. It will only continue to improve. Our defense is nasty and is what will win us games this year.

Or, you can be honest about what happened last night like both Doug Mathews and Kippy Brown just were on the radio. While there were certainly some improvements and good things to point to, the truth is we only forced 2 of VT's 5 fumbles and if not for those fumbles by VT, as Brown said, "the game is a tossup in favor of VT".

1standgoal, you are either a clever troll (I'm leaning that way), or you are a human pendulum made out of mercury.

You are, emotionally and intellectually, all over the place. One week you see everything as a disaster, the next week it's all a bed of roses. Meanwhile, the team exhibits the same strengths (defense firming up after shaky start, running game in spite of OL) and weaknesses (OL, fitful pass game, initial defensive stutters in 1st Qtr/Half) both weeks.

We're getting marginally better, incrementally better, from week 1 to week 2 (and hopefully beyond). It's not a light switch that's on or off; we're all in that grey space in between.

Go Vols!

So your philosophy is to overlook the improvements and continue to focus on the negatives? That's such a great attitude you have there. Fans like you is why we don't deserve to have nice things happen to us. We scored more points, we forced turnovers, we won the damn game. Thats all that matters for lord's sake. If we meet expectations this season, guarantee you'll still be whining over stupid sh*t that doesn't amount the hell of beans. And if this post offends you, put me on ignore right now cause I don't care.
