VT fans talking about UT fans

The VT fans were pretty nice before the game, tailgating and such. I had to make a good impression on some because some trashed UT sorority girl was flicking off some VT fan 6th graders and smashing glass bottles in the RV park. Wish I could have sent a video to her mom.

VT fans have always had a chip on their shoulder as far as TN goes.
I listened to trash talk about UT for years. Really got sick of it. One time me and some others were sitting at a table and a VT prick fan looked at me and said UT fans were crazy. I responded by saying I thought VT fans were the crazy ones because they thought they were in the same league as the big boys. I ask him, do you think the millions of UT fans give a rats ass what one guy from SWV thinks. He did not have anything to say after that.
I never had respect for VT, especially in the early years. While we were playing the likes of Notre Dame, USC, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc, they were playing teams like Wolford, William and Mary etc.. Most of their games was playing chumps. They would go through the season ranked, then when they got in a bowl game with a real team, most of the time they would get thumped.
I will have to admit, in the last few years they have picked it up a notch and began playing some worthy opponents.
Does not matter, I still dislike that team, a lot.
Saturday nights victory was sweet revenge for me.
As far as the people of SWV go, most are decent people. There are ass holes in every fan base.
Young people drinking can make real fools of themselves.
We have a few immature, obnoxious pricks in our fan base too.

The Tech fans I was around last night were obnoxious.

Ridiculous trash talk walking into the stadium. There was a group standing behind us in line, everyone was shoulder to shoulder and they were screaming at the top of their lungs. A young VA tech couple sat in front of us, her whole rear end was hanging out of her shorts and they were making out and groping each other the whole time.

They finally left and you could tell everyone was relieved.

As I was walking out at the end, there was a young Va Tech couple - dude with short brown hair and a blonde - basically eating each other's face on the side of Volunteer. Awkward af.

This one young man was talking to me about how bad appy state was and how they were gonna show us. I sure was hopeful of seeing him afterwards lol!

Yeah when VT fans went up by 14 their class went out the window and the fans really started to show how big of an ass they can be. It was great beating them down after a few comments I heard from multiple VT fans in the first..

You should've seen how vulgar the VT fans were towards anything Vols during the game last night. We get mad and stuff here but at least we can refrain, mostly, from using profanity.

Well yeah, because attempted profanity on the boards turns into *****. :p

Now if the mods also worked the games... I've seen my share of fellow Vols fans make azzes of themselves in public.

I grew up in Abingdon. I've had to listen to this crap since birth. It's normal Tech fan behavior. They think they are an elite program and are pretty obnoxious about how good they think they are. I'm sooooooo glad we beat them down so I didn't have to hear them brag about this game for the next 30 years.

On a side note: Their band....WTF. The running on and off the field looked tacky. The Pride beat them down pretty good too ;)

I was there Saturday but I went to the bowl game when we played them and it was some of the worst fans I've ever been around. Cursing at every body men woman even children. They didn't care. Would get in your face a scream. Extremely hard to not throat punch them.

Va Tech is always trying to prove themselves. Who cares what they say about us. We are Tennessee. Heck, their colors are ugly. Their uniforms are ugly. Their school is out in the middle of nowhere. They are not in the SEC. Not everybody can be in the SEC. Most importantly not everyone can be Tennessee!!!!! Go Vols!

I sat in a section reserved for Tech fans. It was mostly orange, of course.

The VT fans that sat directly behind us were first class. A little lighthearted smack talk and then handshakes and well wishes after the game.

The Pride ALWAYS beats the other band down. Just saying from several decades of observation.:)

Thursday Night Tech is basically Miss State in the Mountains. Ugly uniforms, very little tradition and occasionally have a good run when they fall into recruiting a good QB. Other than that, nothing special about them.

I'm reading through this and wondering how we all had such different experiences.

The area we were in had some pretty good VT fans. The guy behind us wouldn't shut up and had an annoying voice, but wasn't belligerent or anything. There was a group of four older VT fans probably five rows in front of us who were fine. There was one drunken yahoo who was annoying, but that was offset by a drunken UT fan who was obnoxious as hell (angry drunk type).

It was a good atmosphere in that area; no fights or real tension to speak of that didn't involve the game on the field.

I watched more Vol fans argue with each other than with VT fans. I love beer, but after watching how some of behaved, I'm glad they don't serve it in Neyland

I was in Earnhardt and the VT fans in our section were pretty hyped when they were winning. One really obnoxious one that slipped away when we came back. The others waited until mid 4th quarter and walked out with their heads hung. I tried to be a good sport on the way out but there were a couple I would like to have throat punched.

The ones I was next to tailgating were fine. The ones I tailgated with were great, but they were friends.

Outside of that? All I heard was crap talking and obnoxiousness, at the game and in my town beforehand. Glad we led those turkeys to slaughter, and can't wait for the clowns that were trolling this board to show up again.

Probably still stuck in traffic after the game. Doubt we'll see hardly any of them back on here again.
