well, i think it's safe to say that vol nation will be well represented, regardless of how many VT RV's are parked down there.

I expect that a good portion of Vol Nation will be making a day trip of the Chick-Fil-A bowl, something that VT simply can't do. Also, Tennessee has a lot of fans that already live in town that would not be hanging out at The Dome parking lots. I am not surprised to hear that the VT fans are outnumbering us on the night before.

It will all change tomorrow! GO BIG ORANGE! Let's show the turkeys what SEC Football is all about tomorrow!

Well, this will be VT's 3rd trip to Atlanta this year (v. Alabama in the Dome, @ GT), so I dont believe they were be super excited about yet another trip here. Judging by how quickly the Vols sold out our allotment of tickets compared to VT, I expect it will be 60%-65 in our favor.

Rumors of our inability to travel are overblown. VT fans never buy through the school since they're usually not the best seats (once the big donors get their due). It will be 60-40 in the GA dome tomorrow (UT outnumbering), and as I said a few weeks ago, I would gladly bet on it.

Just got back from the Georgia aquarium. The walk from and back to the MARTA was brutal (cold and raining/sleeting).

There was a good crowd, but we were definitely outnumbered by the Hokies. The VT cheerleaders were there cheering in the lobby, but Vol cheerleaders were nowhere to be found. Slightly disappointing.

Just went to three different bars on Peachtree St, every one was packed with orange with a handful of hokies. We will be alright.

I doubt 2/3 of the Tennessee fans are there yet. But I could be wrong.

I am sure a lot of Vol Nation will be driving in tomorrow, something that Hokie fans are not able to do. Also, Tennessee has big fanbase that already lives in Atlanta that has no reason to be down at the hotels and bars.

Don't worry, I have no doubt we will be out in force tomorrow.

Again, totally ignoring the many, many Hokie fans west of VT. Once you get so far west in Virginia, the trip goes through Knoxville before you jump on 75 South.

Although you're right, most will go 85 or 95, many will be going Knoxville then 75 South. Especially for this game against UT, there will be a lot of VT fans driving down from this part of the state.

Not that any of this really matters, but FTR there isn't exactly a large population of hokies in virginia west of blacksburg. Most of the Hokie Nation is east of blacksburg, and will not be traveling through knoxville.
