In the days leading up to the '07 championship game, it seemed like there were NO Tennessee fans in ATL. LSU fans were everywhere and talking trash about us not traveling down for the game. Then, all of a sudden, the GA Dome was 75% orange.

Don't worry, the Big Orange Nation will arrive tomorrow.

Saw plenty of orange on the drive down from knoxville. Only saw 1 VT car

IT WAS SO FREAKIN COOL TO SEE ALL MY VOLS GETTIN GAS AND STOPPING FOR SNACKS. EVERYBODY WAS ASKING ME ARE GOING TO THE GAME. SO COOL ,IT FELT KNOXVILLE...FOR JUST A MINUTE..LOL:yes:

We're heading south with the orange flags flying!!! OK, so we're heading to Hooters for wings. But we'll head further south tomorrow for the game.

VT fans will not be coming down through Knoxville. He said he didn't see any VT fans going that way and that is because they are all on 85, maybe a few on 95.

He said Bad Newz Virginia which I guess is Newport News? If he is going through Knoxville he was somewhere other than Newport News at the time of his departure. I live in Atlanta so I make the trip from VT to Atlanta all the time, and 81 to 77 to 85 is by far the best way to go. There aren't a lot of VT fans that live west of VT.

Again VT fans will be taking 85. Trying to talk your way out of it is really ignorant.

Again, totally ignoring the many, many Hokie fans west of VT. Once you get so far west in Virginia, the trip goes through Knoxville before you jump on 75 South.

Although you're right, most will go 85 or 95, many will be going Knoxville then 75 South. Especially for this game against UT, there will be a lot of VT fans driving down from this part of the state.

There are lots of Vols living in Atlanta. I'll be there, but it's just a ride on Marta for me.

Go Vols! Won't be able to make it in person...but will be throwing down all day up in Indiana getting ready for the game. Like many have already said in this posting...I have no doubt the ATL will be packed with vols fans tomorrow and the dome will be rocking to Rocky Top all night!

side note...games in the ATL always remind me of a great story from my dad. In 1997 he went to the SECCG against Auburn...he went with my uncle who was a season ticket holder at the time. Anyhow...they were at the big hotel attached to the dome...or that's right by it....maybe the Omni? I can't remember. It was about an hour or two before the game and the lobby area was full of hundreds of fans...from both schools of course. Somewhere in the lobby was a piano...with no stool...probably didn't want anybody playing.

Dad's a great piano player..goes over...starts slowly on a little rocky top and then starts banging it out. Whole place goes nuts and of course starts singing rocky top....got the place rocking.

Not that anybody cares...just a fun story I always remember my dad sharing with me. Gotta love the vols memories that get passed down! Let's see...I'm 30 now...so i was in high school at the time. Dam$ I should have been there with them!

I got some sleet down here in Peachtree City.... No matter... I'll be rocking section 337 by this time tomorrow night!!!! Let the beatdown commence!
