Voyager 1 spacecraft nears interstellar space

I'm interested as to why the larger the universe the less likely evolution took place. I mean evolution is a known fact. It may be happening somewhere else in the universe as well.
:lolabove:

Whether you believe in evolution or not, its quite a leap to say its a known fact.

And what the *BLEEP* does Voyager 1 crossing into Interstellar space have to do with evolution?

Nothing that I can see. But it becomes more apparent every day that you cannot post a thread - about almost any subject - anywhere on VolNation without the thread quickly becoming a debate about religion or politics. Same old posters with the same old posts. If you don't believe that, just look around.

There is a forum for that. Once it was called the political forum, now it seems to have overtaken the whole board.

Sad.

Sad.

Game board seems safe.

Btw, I also find it interesting that voyager is still broadcasting. Impressive engineering. Anyone know how long it is/was supposed to last?

Ok, I know it was a joke about a movie about something like this but it would be funny if in a couple hundred years our version of The Enterprise actually runs into this thing and some dude on the ship is a Star Trek fan and they all have some Family Guy moment where the captain runs around real fast like the opening to Benny Hill and they all start chasing each other through the halls and vger sounds like the black guy.

That's where you are uneducated. Excavations have failed to produce any sort of fossil record to support Darwin's theory. The Cambrian Explosion demonstrates a sudden diversity of organisms which, according to Darwin, should have taken many, many years. Many scientists already dismiss the ideas of evolution, and many think that we will be viewed as fools for accepting his ideas.

I am happy to provide resources to raise your awareness of the advancements in biology over the past 50 years. Just because you read something in high school doesn't make it a "fact."

So because you believe in one theory it's now fact? Lol. Hope you have good malpractice insurance.

NASA's Voyager 1 Probe May Exit Solar System Next Year | NASA & Voyager Mission | Heliosheath, Solar System & Interstellar Space | Space.com

Just thought this was worth highlighting. Man launched a spacecraft in 1977 that is still going and about to leave the protection of our solar system. It is currently 11.1 billion miles away and still transmitting back to Earth

if you've seen the Pale Blue Dot pic it makes you realize how truly insignificant we are in the universe
Or that's what they want you to believe....

Please tell me where I stated either what I believe or that it is factual. I was explaining that among current-day scientists, evolution is far from a "known fact."

As for your second sentence: those are the kind of words that destroy any credibility you might have and make you look the childish fool.

Thats quite a funny post coming from someone stating that evolution is known fact.

Back on topic - What is powering the transmissions? The spacecraft is far out of range for solar panels to be of any use, right? How is it getting power?

There were no birds or mammals on earth 250million years ago, that is a fact, yet there were dinosaurs. Where did they come from?

It's a fact????

And which of the scientist you got this from where actually alive 250 million years ago to witness this?

Please provide the video footage or photographs.

Ok. So you believe only things you have seen in your life. Science is such a crock.

Dinosaurs actually appear in the fossil record at 230 MYA, and both mammals and birds coexisted during the Jurassic Period.

No. But I'm not ging around stating them all as facts either.

I believe in God and can't prove in anyway that I am right but I would never be so self absorbed as to call it a fact.

If everyone about the past was a fact the facts wouldnt be constantly changing as science advances.

Now that is a fact.

Based on science there was a period of 50-150 million years that there were no birds or mammals after there were fish, amphibians, & reptiles.

So you you believe that no species has ever adapted & evolved over generations. A virus evolves or mutates & that is a fact but it's debatable whether it is a living thing or not.

Adaptation is a known fact. However, using adaptation as evidence for the evolution of the diversity of species is not only a stretch, but an unfathomable longshot. I recently read a quote that sums up our current understating of prehistoric history and the gaping holes in the fossil record. Paraphrased, it said that one would actually have to have a great deal MORE faith now to believe in evolution than in an Intelligent Designer.

Why can't there be both? I was using adaption in the sense as to why things evolve not meaning the same.

I have no problem with anyone ever throwing out their opinion and having a logical debate. I personally think so much would be gained if this world could ever get to that point but when one side throws down the trump "it's a fact" card it tends to destroy the debate and both sides just end up arguing.

I dont have a freakin clue how the world got here and neither does any scientist no matter what they say...we all have ideas but no one truly knows.

But for my personal opinion here it goes: I think God has a serious ego and sense of humor and I believe that he finds alot of this amusing.

Where did the intelligent designer come from?
