His only shot at redemption is to win the SEC.
My bet is 25% of our fan base is done with him and many of that # never gave him a shot. The rest of us are still waiting and hoping he can do it.
Nobody at this point can say, "I know he is the guy, just give him enough time".
The win over a bad Florida team is big, but the loss to SC put him back to square 1.
Win the SEC and we can blame SC for us not making the playoffs.
With some help around the country we can still get in.
Go Vols!
Not many, but from the results of the poll so far I would say 75% are giddy with 9-3
I don't think there's anyone we can bring in that's ever going to top Saban on a consistent basis, so my expectations for a coach currently sit at just winning the east. I think Butch has done a decent job here so far and while I'm upset with the SC loss, I don't see any reason to fire him after I expected 10-2 coming in to the season, and we're on track to finish 9-3 despite the injuries.
Would like to see some kind of change made to improve the o-line during the off-season. I don't hate DeBord as much as others do but wouldn't mind a change at OC.
The SC loss was bad because everybody expected to roll over SC. Muschamp decided to switch things around, and SC is 3-0 since. Maybe it would be wise to see how SC does before deciding we lost to a really really bad team.
Hitting a moving target is a bit different from a static one. Maybe we were simply unlucky and got a new and improved SC, and teams earlier in the season were fortunate to play the old SC. We'll just have to see, but I'm definitely an SC fan when they play FL.
No, it says some may be, but a lot aren't interested in another hiring/firing free fall until the right guy comes along.
I think some people here would base everything on a coach's first game; if they got their way, we might be the first team to have 5 or more HCs and no recruits in one season.
Read the poll again! Is CBJ the guy? Yes or No. 70% say yes!
So maybe not 75% but 70% are giddy with 9-3.
It don't ask if he is the man until someone better comes along or until his contract runs out!
I don't think anyone is wanting to fire a coach after 1 game, but 45 games is a pretty good sample size to get an idea of what is Instore for the future
Looks like Sunshine Pumpers 70 Negavols 30! Probably been the other way around the Tuesday after the USCe game![]()
Read the poll again simple yes or no!Read the poll again. Two options A or B. I can vote one because I absolutely disagree with the other while not fully agreeing with the one I did choose. People have been stacking the deck and creating false results with polls since the first one.
Now if somebody asked an open question, you could answer honestly - given a narrow list of options, you simply choose the one most fitting. So answering the first question can absolutely mean I chose that one with an implied "for the time being" or "as things stand now (AD uncertainty)" etc.
Business uses the tactic all the time - do you prefer A, B, C, or D without ever giving people the option of none of the above.
Read the poll again simple yes or no!
You inserting "implications " because you didn't agree with a yes or no , on your own to go along with your own opinion is on you, the poll was what it was, yes or no!
If yes or no didn't reflect your position you should of not voted, but don't try to insert your on opinion of what the poll supposedly ment!
