Nope. Our years of terrible luck and outright bad hires make me cynical. I guess we’ll also test the waters on Sark then somehow screw that up as well for something like not covering his moving expenses.

I agree. I still. Believe its gonna be Friend. Safe hire for Pruitt.

So if it is Friend and you had to take a guess, why have they waited this long to announce it?

For the same reason you stick the village idiot in a round silo, and tell him to pee in the corner. To drive you all crazy.

Curious to see VNs choice. Had to add in Friend just because I feel he is likely the guy in staff that could get the job if CJP elects to go that route.

Note this isn’t meant to be who you think it will be, but who of the above you would prefer.

Friend has never been a playcaller. If he hired from within it would be Osovet, but if he was hiring from within it would have been done already.

No OC has ever elevated a team above its talent level. It's impossible. The most they can do is uncover and fully utilize the talent that is present.

No staff is getting 100% out of everyone in the program. Coaches who get more than average are "elevating a team above it's talent level" if the team's results are on the right side of the bell curve for the talent they have.

I think osevet would be a great OC if given the reins to run his own offense.

How did they elevate above something that was not there?
