I went to the game in Baton Rouge last year, and I'll have to say, the tailgating they do was Awesome!... But I still voted for TN! :)

Also, not really sure why Tennessee's running through the T isn't on the best tradition list. Does nobody but us think that is awesome?

I thought the same thing when I first read through the list of best traditions. Everyone I have ever brought to a Tenn game says it's the best thing they have ever seen. Hell I still get fired up to see them run through it!

Same here but it is never on any "best tradition" lists so it just makes me wonder if it's not really as awesome a tradition as Tennessee fans think it is.

As a pre-game band kinda thing, it just doesn't hold up to the script Ohio.

Why is that exactly?

Having seen both live, the script Ohio is simply better. Higher degree of difficulty, often uses celebrities, way more pageantry.

I know it's a matter of opinion, but I think the majority of the football fans in this country would agree with me.

Clearly. That's the whole point of my comment.

If this were the 1990's I'd say UT would be in the top 3, easily. There are too many empty seats and the crowd doesn't get into the games as much as other places. JMO.

Pitiful.

But correct. The early and mid 90's we felt we could win every game. That feeling is missing. The atmosphere was electric on Gameday. Just thinking about almost beating Notre Dame in 90 makes me miss my college years! GBO!!!

Speaking of pre-game pagentry, I wish we would bring back the Tennessee walking horse for every game instead of just home coming. I think it would really add to the whole experience.

I'll never forget that game. That was an awesome atmosphere for a football game. ND's band did their pre-game show then our band hit the field and you would've thought the game had already started given how loud it was during the pre-game show.

Yes! The Irish were ranked #1 and nance called the game. Ricky Waters, Jerome Bettis, Rocket, Chris Zorich and Michael Stonebreaker will all remember that game! I agree with you x 1000! I wish we could regain that exact gameday feeling!

The quiet groan in the stadium when Kelly got picked off trying to hit Pickens...again after we recovered the on-side kick.

There are a lot of UT football fans that haven't experienced the expectation of winning every game and the empty feeling when the team lost. Now, I hardly have any emotion after a loss. Sure, you get older and priorities change, but now I watch the game then go about my business.

Youre right.i posted something similar about the best jobs list. These list are all about who is hot at the time.If we had been winning as of late, running through the T would be on there. We would also have more votes for best gameday.Remember we were voted best gameday in 03 by SI.We had been winning for a decade.

Going by this logic, it's hard to justify putting Georgia on there and leaving us off. Yes, they've been slightly better but they haven't had the success of most of those other teams. JMO.

Although i think Uga is the ugliest thing ive ever seen,he is recognizable. The "T"just happens for a few seconds.Telecasts show Uga throughout the game.Dont get me started on how much better i think Smokey is than uga either.

I disagree and I've seen them both live several times. My dads side of the family are all Ohio state grads. Most with a master or PhD. Mothers side is all vol. I don't mean to take away from it at all but when that T opens up and the team runs out it is an amazing sight. Script Ohio is just another old formation. Besides they jacked the idea from Michigan IIRC.

I haven't seen running through the T, but i've script ohio about 4-5 times. I live about 35 minutes from osu's stadium. And my family are all buckeyes. And it is a very neat experience and tradition, but I really would just love to go see MY all time favorite college team and see the running through the T, but script ohio was first started by michigan. why, I don't know...one day I will see a UT game...hopefully soon.
