Vote Chris Johnson 4 NFL MVP

I'm a huge Titans fan... but I don't think CJ is the NFL MVP when his team didn't even make the playoffs.

IMO It is an individual award, and CJ shouldn't be punished just because the Titans didn't make the playoffs.

he won't get it, but i do feel he should get (not necessarily will though) offensive player of the year

when are MVP, OPOY and DPOY announced anyways?

Brett freaking Favre? Seriously?

HE PLAYS ON A TEAM WITH ADRIAN PETERSON. Chris Johnson plays on a team where his #1 wide receiver would be #3 on most other depth charts in the NFL and a quarterback who was removed from his starting spot for Kerry Collins.

It should be between Manning and CJ for the NFL's Most Valuable Player.

The Titans would have been 2-14 this year, at best, without CJ and the Colts wouldn't have come close to sniffing the playoffs with Painter at QB.

CJ gets the edge, in my opinion.

Thanks very much; appreciate it

odd dates though, usually the NFL gets all the award stuff taken care of before the playoff games actually start...

it should really be between manning and johnson only. but manning is doing what he always has and johnson became one of the few to get to 2 thousand yards. including the fact that he had 11 straight 100 yard games. give the dude some props already. i love manning and if cj had not accomplished what he had this year then peyton hands down should win this, but this should be an honor that cj has earned.

borrowed from wikipedia:

"In week 2, Johnson became the first player in NFL history to record touchdowns of 50+, 60+, and 90+ in the same game which included a 91 yard touchdown run which matched the franchise's longest run set by Sid Blanks. He finished the day with 197 yards rushing and 87 yards receiving. Through the first 16 weeks of the 2009 NFL season, Johnson led the league with 1,872 yards and 5.8 yards per carry, including a game against the Jaguars in which he had 228 yards, helping the Titans achieve their first victory of the season. By midseason, Sports Illustrated's Kerry J. Byrne argued that Johnson is currently the best running back in the NFL, ahead of Adrian Peterson.[10]

In weeks 6 through 12, Johnson had an active streak of six games over 125 yards, which tied the NFL record shared by Earl Campbell and Eric Dickerson. Johnson also set the single month record for rushing, with 800 yards in November 2009, which broke the previous record set by Ricky Williams who ran for 797 yards in November 2002.[11] Also in the 2009 season, Johnson had 3 touchdown runs of 85+ yards. No other player has achieved that many in a career.[citation needed] On December 29, 2009, Johnson was selected to the 2010 Pro Bowl, his second in as many years.

On January 3, 2010, Johnson became just the 6th running back in NFL history to reach the 2,000 yard mark. Against the Seattle Seahawks, he rushed for 134 yards, which also broke Earl Campbell's franchise rushing record. He gain 154 yards from scrimmage in the game bringing his total to 2,509 for the season breaking Marshall Faulk's previous record of 2,429 yards."

that is an mvp season if i have ever seen one.

CJ had a hell of a season, but with the record plus Peyton's stats I just don't see how he doesn't get it. I hope I'm wrong, because I want CJ to win it. He's not one-dimensional like a Reggie Bush. He's got Reggie-speed and then some, but he's not afraid to bruise somebody and put his head down. Best back in the league.

I would love to see CJ get it, but with the season the Titans had, I just don't see it happening. It is an individual award, but the voters don't look at it that way.
I think it will probably go to either Manning or Brees.

we all knew it was going to be peyton (and really no one would award an MVP to a non-playoff team anyways)

the one that will be interesting to see is if Offensive Player of the Year goes to Chris Johnson with his 2000 yards (where the guy with the 2nd most is still pretty far off) or they just go the "Drew Brees is on a good team" route
