It wasn't until the lawyer did that interview with News Sentinel when we saw something happen.

Believe it or not, Dan Dakich (ESPN b-ball analyst and local Indy radio host) said pretty much this exact thing the week everything broke.

I for one tend to believe in the laws and physics of the universe over human judgement.

If a player is suspended from ALL team and UNIVERSITY activities, he is likely suspended from interacting with coaches and administrators of said university.

Otherwise, what good is a 'suspension' policy..."Hey you're suspended but come in here and we'll sit around and talk about our feelings for a while."...do not see that happening.

There was a guy at BYU a couple years back but they have a different kind of conduct code than most places.

to me, it just sounds like code for "we know what happened, we just can't prove it".

An agenda? Does this explain why they hang out for hours when word is out that specifically football players are atba bar having a good time or partying hoping an incident ensues or even baiting them into situations they can get them in trouble for?

Civil Rights? If it's true that Johnson and Williams were able to attend school AFTER being charged, then I would say Pearson has a very strong case for any number of Civil Rights laws, discrimination of some kind.

Also his lawyer could probably subpoena for any kind of email exchange between UT admins to see why they dragged their feet on this and a whole number of issues that could come up that lets be honest they probably don't want out there.

I'm with others in the thought that there seems to be something more going on here, be it the girl is the daughter of some high ranking UT official or for the fact that UT was headlined on ESPN article about being under investigation for the Title IX issue.

Either way if the kid didn't do anything really wrong then they'd be hard pressed to kick him out. Hell if memory serves me correctly they didn't kick out the kids for butt chugging incident, which really put a brown eye, pun intended, on the university. If he's not reinstated by no later than the 17th, this could get some kind of lawsuit going.

In the meantime, didn't LSU or Auburn just reinstate a player that is STILL under investigation for a felony?

Which, based on my observation which could be inaccurate, suggested they were simply waiting on the lab to finish with the rape kit. Why it took so long, idk. But labs can get backed up.

Haven't seen this link posted yet.. Interesting perspective from "Vol Colonel" on the Basilio blog... Not sure how reliable he is, but he looks at the double standard between the AJ/Williams and VP situations.
