The first gen Nike Smokey Grey jerseys that they debuted in 2015 during the Dobbs years, and that they wore through 2022 were really nice. Since 2023, when they started switching the design, they have all been fugly to me. I'm guessing that's the reason that you see us wearing them against FCS teams...just trying to get through the Nike smokey grey partnership at this point.

The only things I'll concede about them is the three stars is a great touch and they're 1000 times better than those garish greys with the orange shoulders.

When the Vols played NC State in Atlanta in a kickoff classic game, Tennessee wore its orange jerseys and the Wolfpack wore red. We could see this repeated in Charlotte.
