I've seen stranger omens than the original post on this thread.

I was reading about 4 years ago in October about how excited someone from Calgary was because (try to follow this) every time that an NHL team from Alberta (meaning Calgary or Edmonton) had a commemorative patch on their jersey for the year, that team ended up in the Stanley Cup Finals. And for that year, Calgary had a 25th Anniversary patch on the jerseys. What'd they do? They came from the bottom of the conference playoff race and ended up in a Game 7 of the Finals.

The next season, someone from Edmonton brought up the same argument since the Oilers would be wearing their own commemorative patch....same thing happened. They came from a #8 seed and ended up in a Game 7 of the Cup Finals.

In think the SEC top for in each division shapes up like this for the 2007 Season:

EAST

1. Florida

2. Georgia

3. Tennessee

4. S. Carolina

WEST

1. LSU

2. Auburn

3. Arkansas

4. Alabama

Exactly how will LSU win with no QB, WRs, offensive coor, or defensive line coach? Les will be exposed next year, big time.

At this point the Vols are not going to beat UF with straight-up talent vs. talent. If anything UF has a slight edge there. That means UT will have to beat them with playcalling and execution. Nobody with a brain can look at the Fulmer-Cut body of work and say they have the creativity/balls/whatever to make the kinds of calls Meyer makes. That leaves execution. Basically, UT will have to play near perfect football and hope the Gators make some critical errors that they cannot overcome with a couple of big "trick" plays.

I totally agree. Creativity edge goes to Urban because he has proven that you don't have to grind things out in the SEC. Create west coast still of passing, you then have your run game with receivers that can really YAC a defense. UT's whole problem, after the NC, has been execution. The offense doesn't do anything thats creative which means the team has to be fundamentally sound.
