Vols will need to score at least __ points to beat LSU?

But considering they'll probably score some too... I think UT will hold them under 25. Some of the things that hurt UT vs UF are correctable. I do not think that LSU is better on O than UF was vs UT.

At some point unfortunately our offense is going to fail or have a really bad day bvs is real we have seen it every season. Believe me I hope I'm wrong.
Pitt wasn't a great O performance... but they still scored more than 30.

To answer your post... at some point, the O and D are going to show up on the same day and put it all together. The signs that they're capable are EVERYWHERE if you take those BVS tinted glasses off.

I was going to say 2 as well, since 1 is impossible.

I feel the magic number is 42. If we have success scoring 5 touchdowns and 2 FG’s, LSU’s offense hasn’t shown me the ability to quickly and explosively score to keep up.

Predicting our demise every big game is your thing. My guess is you want to be able to run in here and say "I told you so." The truth is you don't know shat and are miserable.

My guess is he's trolling, and if so he did a great job based on all the reaction he gets every time. Really simple with trolls - ignore them and they disappear. They live for attention.

If genuinely a Vol fan... which seems to be the case... then it is just cowardly. It is very easy to make negative predictions. You never have to own up to them. If you are wrong then no one notices as you celebrate with them. If you are right then you get to say "I told you so".

In my time here, I can't recall anyone saying, "Sorry guys for being so negative. I really had no good reason and was wrong".

I don't know how many points it will take, but you will not be able to count them out until the final whistle blows.
All of their bigger games they were down late by multiple scores and either came back and made it a game or won.

TN will not have room to take the foot off the gas to win this one.

However, my gut says we hit 38 we get the W, I see our Pitt game defense showing up more than the Florida game.
I also see Dee Williams making a play or two.

I would say 40-45 is more like what we need. Our defense is going to give up quite a bit. We will have to out score them.

I agree. I think we need 3.5 points per offensive possession. If we get 13 possessions like we did against Pitt, we need to score 45. If we get 11 possessions, then we need 39.

While our defense has been suspect this year, it's mostly been pass coverage, and LSU's passing game has also been suspect. Which means in spite of our weak pass coverage, we probably dare them to throw the ball.

I think it'll be a close game, but I could see a scenario where we hold them to something pretty low; maybe 17 or 24 points. I don't see a scenario where they hold us that low.

I'll say 34 points but it really depends on which is worse: our pass coverage or their passing game.

I'm thinking in the low-mid 40's. We can win this one, but I'm afraid our defense hasn't proven to be sufficiently reliable to hold them down.
Same. The pass defense is suspect. Combine that with Heupel's quick offense where the defense gets minimal rest and we'll need to score 40+ points probably against any semi decent SEC team we face.

Either we score fast or we punt fast but the defense will be on the field a lot. Average time of possession we are #123 in the nation.
