1. I hate wanting a new coach!
2. I hate having thread after thread about new coaches who might care about coming to UT.
3. I hate to put CPF in this spot and to see him feel the preasure.
4. I hate being 1 and 2! All I have known for a long time is CPF. I am not proud of the way I feel at all. I feel like a sellout.
5. Screw talking about new coaches because he will not leave before the end of this season. NO WAY IN HELL!
6. Do we need new blood YES! Fellow Vols this sucks.

when a program has had 2 coaches in 30 years it does feel very very weird to talk about forcing a coach out who has spent his entire career here.

I fully understand your feelings and also appreciate the love and loyalty CPF has to our beloved Vols. However, I was at the Memphis game when Johnny Majors was stabbed in the back (or that's how I felt at the time) so the failings of the team has mixed emotions for me.

If Spurrier put that power T baseball cap on they would have me doing exzite commercials!

It sucks! I remember when Spurrier went to the Redskins, I was like what do we do now. Then we had the Zooker and now we have one of the top 3 head coaches in the nation. It is more important to get the new coach who is the right fit and not to put it on a timeline. We were in a pinch when we went with Zook. You have time to get the right guy.

I grew up in Dallas for a bit, and the Cowboys had a similar situation with quarterbacks. When things went from the stability of Staubach/Aikman to the current situation of musical QB's, things got... um... worse.

Phil Fulmer is good for our program on so many levels. If I were really the person pulling the strings, I would not discard him lightly. I would be more apt to seriously consider pulling the plug on Chavis. And I would probably look for a guy who is strong on fundamentals, innovative, and who I thought could actually be a solid head coach in 3-5 years or so.

I'd welcome Spurrier to UT with open arms; I don't care that he kicked our butts in the 90's. It is all in the past.

Can you image how much that would elevate our rivalry with the Gators if Darth Visor donned an orange shirt?!

But, I digress. I feel you, Fine. This isn't a fun time to be a Vol.

I agree with you FV, but you find number 2 so distasteful that you started a new thread?!?
