I have been coaching DB's for awhile... I know it when I see it... of course when I go to the O&W game I will get to confirm it but I'm pretty positive...
So you named three corners and a safety.. then said another safety, Abernathy, at nickel corner? so you want gaulden at safety? because hes long? (I guess he did come in as safety) Im having trouble visualizing what you are saying.
CB1: martin
CB2: Baylen / osbourne
NB: gaulden
FS: Abernathy all day. I don't even get the discussion of leaving him out (our best DB by far)
SS: Todd Kelly
Nigel is a very good player and will se the field a lot this year but to the people that say he should start over a senior in tk and over our best db last year in Abernathy just doesn't make sense to me..

TKjr has regressed. He was a weak link on the defense last year because of his lack of speed and athleticism.
I love his instincts but we need better athletes on defense if we want to compete for championships.
Poor ole TKjr sure has regressed. Never mind the fact that he essentially sealed the FL game for us when he intercepted Apple in the 4th.
Nigel Warrior should start over TKjr now that he's learned the playbook.
Simply a better athlete. We desperately need to get more athletic on the back end.
This is insanity. Todd Kelly Jr. is a former consensus top-100 recruit with 150 tackles and 8 interceptions in three years. By comparison, that's more production in each of those categories than Jamal Adams, Malik Hooker and Jabril Peppers, all of whom are projected first round draft picks at safety.
TK Jr. may not have elite speed, but he doesn't need it at SS where his tackling and ballhawking skills are more important. Skills aside, he's also arguably the most intelligent, experienced and vocal leader on the defense. There's a reason why ordinary athletes like John Lynch and Rodney Harrison played safety at a high level for decades in the NFL.
Nothing against Warrior, but you people are delusional if you think TK will or should be benched for any unproven underclassmen. The new guy's grass is always greener, until it isn't.

Lol... oh ok let me slow it down for you...... Warrior (which is going to be a starting Safety)...... will have the production to be an all American at his position.... is that better.... but hey I know... no one cares.... 😂😎👌🏻
Dude I just had to watch my 22 yr old best friend take his last breath... can you please just stop. Thanks. I know you couldn't of possibly known.... appreciate it.LOL. Still flailing.
I started the Nigel Warrior thread. I know how good he is. Don't need you to tell me.
Keep swinging though. You'll figure this out eventually.
:wink2:
