With the Gators recently losing to LSU, what are your thoughts on the game Tuesday night in Knoxville. Does that loss really get to the Gators and make them more focused or can our Vols pull off a major win going into the SEC tournament? I'd like to see the latter and the Gators drop another notch in the rankings.:eek:k:
GO VOLS BEAT THE GATORS!:dance2:

I dont think they will come in so cocky now. The way we have been playing as of late and the downward spiral of ye ole gators puts a smile on my face. Should be a close one.

There not going to know what hit them. Our D was slow in Gainsville. No #5 either. Our team is better now than in Dec and is peaking at the right time. If we play like we did against Vandy, KY, or Ark we win. Even the Bama game was one of our better games - just couldn't hit the hole. Looks like Lofton got all his miss shots out of his system in that game.

Don't get fooled into thinking we will get anything less than UF's best shot... The Alligators are the class of the SEC this year. I want the win, but won't let my expectations get out of whack.

They want to thump us. Convincingly.

the first game between these two teams in no indication at all of what the outcome will be tomm because:

1.) we didn't have #5
2.)O-dome is by far the toughest place to play in the SEC(if not the country)
3.)tenn just looked slow on both ends of the court
4.)we were down so big so quickly that there was little chance for a come back
5.)FLA was actually playing great basketball back then, something you cant say about them now

Also, the gators have fell behind early in a lot of their games this season...if that happens again on tues, tenn must take advantage

I think the gators losing two of their last three has an up side and a down side. On the up side it shows that they are beatable. They have showed some weakness and I think this helps our team with confidence. On the down side the Gators are not going to want to lose two in a row especially to Tennessee. But I feel that if we play they way we all know we are capable of we can get the win tomorrow.
GO VOLS!!!

Slick Rick says, it is going to be tough to beat Florida. Florida has not played well in the past 3 games. You have got to think that eventually they will start rolling again. Hopefully it's not on Tuesday night.

I predict a victory that will set expectations too high.

The Vols will then lose in the SEC Tourney to someone they shouldn't, or make a run there and lose in the sweet 16 to a team everyone expects them to beat.

Dunno why, just have one of those feelings.

Slick Rick says, hopefully they will not have another meltdown in the conference tournament. Seems like they usually have bad games come tournament time.

i dont think we should look at last year's tournement as an expectation for tenn....they played winthrop and witichita st in the first two rounds...as a #2 SEED?!!?!...i think we will draw much better matchups this year and lose in the sweet 16

Slick Rick says, a sweet 16 tournament run would be a great season for The Big Orange with all the young talent returning next season.

If we are hitting a decent shot percentage, then we are going to really surprise some good teams in the tourney. I can see an elite 8 with the right match ups. We can beat a top 10 team on a good night especially if they have never played us. One game at a time though - let's kick some FL @$$.

Slick Rick says, Tuesday night is going to be rocking. Coach Summit and the women's team have something special planned. Hopefully it will be a night to remember. Still need to get a couple of tickets if anyone has any. If The Big Orange beats Florida they will be no lower than a 6 seed, regardless of what happens against Georgia and the SEC tournament.
