That would surprise me. tOSU already has TCU and Oregon St lined up for 2018 and their entire non-conference slate is already booked for '19. Though I suppose they could move a few games around.

Ohio State cancelled that a while ago. Claimed the Little 10 going to 9 conference games was the reason for cancelling

I saw a couple people post online about the meeting of the two teams, but the only thing I have seen online is from back in 2008. Has anyone else heard these rumors?

I don't buy it. That would require them to schedule actual competition. OSU is used to being a big fish in a small pond. Won't happen playing competitive opponents.

Could there actually be talk about rescheduling? With all of the smack talk this year about how weak their schedule is.

Many would argue that Butch and UT are not exactly stiff competition for OSU and Meyer.

Maybe things will be different when//if these two programs actually meet.

Absolutely agree. Strength of schedule is for idiots. Gains you nothing, can cost you lots.

Please relay this to the decision-makers at UT. What benefit did it serve to schedule Oregon and Oklahoma for OOC series? We got pummeled in 3/4 of the games, and it only made the program and SEC conference look bad. Tennessee needs to focus on playing midmajor NC State, VTech type opponents in OOC games, which will give us a puncher's chance at securing victory (As Les Miles says).

Alabama pretty much plays mid major and little sisters of the poor teams out of conference every season. If they can do it I don't see why Tennessee shouldn't either.

Ohio State is still mad about our long cleats....hee hee hee!

My Brother's father in law(Who's a huge OSU fan) beeyotched to me saying that the only reason Peyton Manning and the Vols beat Ocryo State was that they used cleats that were too long.:eek:lol: I laughed at him and said Ocryo State lost to Tennessee because they couldn't stop Jay Graham and Peyton Manning.

If I had a channel to voice this, I certainly would. Glad I'm not alone here because a lot of my friends disagree with me when I go on the strength of schedule rant.
